Chris Thile knows good string music and tight vocals. And he says, 'There's no better band in the world' than I'm with Her. The Bible speaks of 'the weight of glory,' and these three are transcendent as solo performers, and glorious together. There are other RU-vid videos of them singing this number, with better audio and more varied photo angles; but the glory sounds and shines through, and it's good to see and hear them here, and any time, any where. Thanks, Nicole B., Sara, Sarah, Aoife, and God :-).
I like how Flo sings this here, compared to her other versions on the Dance Fever Tour, other than that she's phenomenal and the rest of the band are fantastic
So I just find this song and have it on repeat for the whole day. Never heard of Missy here in Holland but this is fantastic! Im in love with it as with the smile on missy's face😊
this song is sooo amazing ahhh, thank you for sharing, also I've done a cover of this song, if you're interested in hearing a different version it's on my channel:)
In college I listened to this song over 2,000 times. This isn't a brag. I don't know what it is. I just know it helped me get over some difficult stuff at the time. I guess I had a lot to get over.
[Verse 1] I know now that I can't make good But how I wish I could Go back and put Me where you stood Nothing's really something now the whole thing's cooked [Verse 2] It serves to suffer, make a hole in my foot And I hope you look As I fill my book What a waste of wood Nothing's really happened like I thought it would [Verse 3] I can't rest on no dynasty Then what is wrong with me? And I'm so sorry I got the best of me I've really did been on such a violent spree [Verse 4] Well maybe you can still make a man from me Here on Speyside Quay With what's left of me As you live and breath Really now know what took hold of mе
Maybe it’s just me, but once I heard this song it never left me. Lyrically, there’s nothing quite like it. The imagery is so vague and interpretive, props to Vernon for penning and performing such a beautiful piece.
the thing i love about seeing bon iver live is how the audience respects the quiet moments. we all just absorb the incredible talent of this band and it makes the performances so much more emotional when he pauses and you are surrounded by thousands of silent people.
When I was in university, I worked for a company that catered live events around London. Basically, I stood at the back of the standing section selling pints at extortionate prices, but... you'll never guess who was playing on my first shift. According to my boss it was "some band called bon ivor or something like that". Safe to say, I didn't sell much beer and spent the entire time with my jaw on the floor. Top 10 life experiences.
