Hey there! I reccomend not going for the ipad tbh, it's extremely limited by it's software and kinda a struggle to work with in a lot of scenarios, mrwhosetheboss has a video on it detailing the pros and cons, might help ya out to make sure you're making the right call!
My M1 Air-*core gpu verusion with 512GB SSD still runs flawlessly. Linux VMs run great on it. Battery life still off the charts. My M1 Max thats almost maxed out still runs like new. Linux VMs run even better on it then my Windows machines. Windows sucks
I plan on doing the following : selling my Mac Studio M1 Max and Air M1. I’m going to sell the Studio, wait until the M4 MBA is released and sell the Air to buy that. Might miss the studio but hey, I don’t use its specs enough to justify it. Any ideas on a good thunderbolt 4 dock for the MacBook? That’s an other 200-300$…
Caldigit, satechi or OWC would probably be my go to for a dock. That is the downside of going laptop only(needing accessories), but I’m sure the M4 will have more than enough power, plus you get the portability too!
I'm in the same boat I would switch back and forth to use Android for more than 2 days and then back on Apple. I would change Android with icons and everything else only just to put it back to stock after I was done.
I agree with this. If Samsung asked people everything they love about their iPhone, all they would have to do is implement it into their new phone and they would get millions of new customers. Especially considering the fact that their phones are 1.5x cheaper for the same junk.
Excellent video. I was a MASSIVE android/Samsung fanboy for 13 years/11 years respectively. The process for me to eventually switch over to Apple took many many years and it was based in part on the issues I had with Android/Samsung so I won’t bore with the details, but after so many years on that other platform I have ZERO regrets for making the switch. I have the 14 pro max, m2 ipad pro, watch series 9, airpod pro gen 2, homepod gen 2 and the icing on the cake, I recently picked up my very first mac, the 16 m3 max. Very, very happy with my decision. My wallet on the other hand….
…your wallet now contains the Apple Card if it’s anything like mine! 😂 That is an impressive lineup of gear, it certainly is easy to find something you like in the Apple lineup!
I bought my furst macbook air 15 m2 , now i want iphone se4 and ipad mini 7 , apple is just fresh breeze of refreshment , no hangs no hard disc dumps no blue screens , i usually work on web apps and numbers app , they work so good 😊 i hated windows now i have used mac i will never go anywhere except apple , sure apple is expensive but its really worth it when it comes to value , hardware specs are just a tiny part of the equation if software is crappy like windows even the supercomputer will fail on windows
I started the transition from Windows to Apple about five years ago and now I'm deep into the ecosystem (MBP, iPhone, Watch, iPad). I really enjoy the integration.
Same. I used to be a diehard android fanboy who would root and customize my device all day (I miss HTC) but as I grew older, I became less interested in those things and leaned more on experiences that work properly out of the box, is stable and has support for a really really long time hence I switched to the Apple Ecosystem. As of this point in time, I left Android 7 years ago and have no desire to go back despite the flashy features and form factors. I recently upgraded to the M4 13 inch iPad Pro from my 6 year old 2018 11 inch iPad Pro and I’m loving it! ❤️
@@arondyte318 HTC One M8 Google Play Edition was and still is one of my all time favorite devices! It’s too bad the trend of putting vanilla android on flagship devices didn’t catch on. Feels like the pixel range has finally found its groove. How’s the 13” screen size coming from the 11”? I took a look in the store the other day and sort of miss my 11” iPad Air, been using my M1 MacBook Air on the couch a lot lately.
@@BillMcLean it’s been phenomenal! It’s a bit cumbersome to use handheld for a long time but it’s definitely worth it for the large Tandem OLED display. I use an OLED TV and monitor on a daily basis and this thing can get even brighter than both of them in SDR. It’s a light and day difference vs. my LCD 2018 Pro that’s for sure. Safe to say that I’m obsessed with it 😂
@@remyeid8471 Same.I started with the HTC Legend and my last one was the M8. They definitely were the best Android OEM of the era. To this day, I personally think HTC SENSE UI is still the best Android skin ever made. It was fast, fluid, consistent and absolutely oozes with style (something that Samsung’s One UI fails to achieve to this day)
If you’re gonna build a great device, just put as much effort into the OS as well cause it’s gonna show it’s significance sooner than later, same thing is happening with Tesla in the world of EV’s. When it just works it just works and humans will be forever drawn towards an easy lifestyle.
Yup, happy to have some gaming options too on Mac now as well, hopefully that trend continues! That is one of the main draws to iPad Pro for me, I keep telling myself I don’t need it!
Yeah, if Samsung and Microsoft would really integrate that would be major competition for Apple. In their favor though, the Galaxy Ring comes out this summer which will integrate with Galaxy Phone and Galaxy Watch. Apple will not have a ring till maybe 2026. Also iOS and iPadOS are not as integrated with MacOS as some believe.
Yep, they can also ditched their microsoft notes and use samsung both or develop more together on samsung notes and Microsoft notes or even better merge it and the same with their browser so the collaboration between them is much better and apple level
Microsoft and Samsung definitely have the resources to do it. I'm not sure where the rings fit in, maybe good if you don't want to wear a watch? Other than that all the health data collected is available on a smart/fitness watch. I'm actually one who enjoys the separation between iPadOS and macOS, but even so, having pretty much all the same apps and tools available on the iPad is starting to actually blur the lines between it and a laptop(despite Apple's historical marketing "replace your laptop").
@@BillMcLean The thing that mostly annoys me about iPadOS is I can't manage my data and files on my NAS and DAS anywhere like I can do it on my Mac Mini. So I do all my file management on my Mac Mini.
Valid, file management on iPad and iPhone for that matter is still more complicated than it needs to be. I imagine this has gotten a bit better with usbc ports though.
well yeah, it is true. Synchronization is great. But still somehow, I use Samsung Android device, can't switch to Iphone (iOS) because it still has many limitations comparing to android. Like split screen multitasking, customization and more. With new AI features, iOS might be slightly better in this aspect, we will see. But the rest of functionalities are still lacking on iphone. Watch and MacOS are great tho.
It is good to have choice, competition makes better products for us all! Last Android I used was a Galaxy S10+ alongside a windows laptop. After that I went iPhone and haven't looked back, I've had too many issues with Samsung/Google devices for me in the past.
Thanks for the video. Do you know if I can add a second work interval to the custom exercise? Example: 2 work intervals with different time and one recover - in the same “series”. Thanks!
I've gotten to a point where I don't care if someone was sent something for free or they were sponsored. What I am looking for is someone who is genuinely reviewing that product, showcasing it's flaws and strengths. We need video's, blog posts, etc of products being reviewed so we can make an educated decision of what we want to spend our money on.
Yes great watch, and, believe it or not I made my Ultra 2 last 5 days on a single charge.I had to turn off a few things to achieve this feat, and,I’ve still got 100% battery health.Ha Apple,I beat your 36Hr limit. 😁👍
Currently i have a series 8. But i'm seriously in doubt of buying a ultra 2. But also in doubt of buying a garmin.... Atm the smartwatch features are keeping me with apple. That's what's holding me back from switching to a garmin.....
@2:54 Exactly!!! Seem that every Apple Watch I have owned (nearly every model) is awful at tracking my treadmill running distance. After running one mile the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is reading about 3 out of 4 laps (0.75miles). I tried resetting/recalibrating, etc. etc. I've been running for years... fitness tracking on an Apple watch and not being able to make adjustments is just odd to me... especially with how inaccurate in can be. My Garmins on the other hand have always been fairly spot on with the treadmill running.
I have an Apple Watch series 6, which I'm totally happy with. My cell company is offering a deal on the Ultra2 Apple watch and I can't help but consider it. My main hesitation is that I would have to give up the blood oxygen sensor, which I check every day with sleep tracking.
Definitely a disappointing situation with the blood oxygen sensor. I too look at it with the sleep tracking feature, interesting to see the correlation with HRV and other metrics. It is nice to have it all in one place, I couldn't find any apple health kit enabled wifi blood oxygen sensors from a third party last time I checked. Unfortunate.
Obsidian has a plug-in that is called ‚importer‘…with this plugin you can import Apple Notes to Obsidian. same is soon true for Evernote. So we are not locked anymore until the end of time. 😉
I LOVE MY APPLE WATCH ULTRA 2! It has much better battery life than the 6 I had and it’s my 1st premium Apple device and I love the bigger display that’s why I got the ultra 2 better battery life and bigger display it’s worth $799 i buy Apple products bc I get my moneys worth
Currently, I’m doing light to medium computing tasks that I can off load from my laptops on a Samsung Galaxy Tap S9+. When I can no longer handhold regular sized tablets (in my 80s, maybe) I’ll get an iPad Mini.
I moved from series 6 to ultra 2 this year. And my younger sister wanted the series 9 for her birthday mind you that is until October and we are in May 2024 but she never had one so she is happy she also kept my phone 14pro 🎉🎉🎉🎉
