The song is about losing loved ones and the memory of them that remains. It is a subject that almost everyone can relate to. But, for me, the fact that she brings it with such a loving smile enhances that feeling even more for listeners. Especially if you know that she lost both her parents at a young age and she said that the song is partly about that, but also about not losing (the image of) lost ones in your memory. You should also know that the woman in between the crying men on the sofa, who seems to be a bit uninterested, actually completely broke down in tears after the song. Turns out she was fighting her tears the whole time.
She learns classical works from sheet music and performs them equally wonderfully. She creates violin covers of her own only by ear and it takes about an hour to complete a cover. She composes and learns two covers per week. She has about 300 her own covers in her head. Fantastic talent! and she also sings beautifully! She lives in south California and performs on Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade, usually on Sundays.
