YES CASTLE CRASHERS!!! IM HYPED!! (Ahem) i approve lol Edit: kinda thought P2 would be the green knight (tho yellow knight is best knight. Even awesome character you get for playing him 🤣)
YUS, GET HYPED!! I do hope you enjoy it! It was pretty hilarious watching JD react to these bosses xD I was going to be, but I had to pick another knight because that one had all my levels saved on him from my first playthrough . I would have smoked most of the enemies and him if I chose it. >:P
With any luck you won't encounter any more of those dread grind rails. 1:40 - Good thing the Octarian can't aim down. Neat little puzzle; I'm sure it's going to get more complicated later on (I could imagine some fun ones reliant on bomb timing). 3:29 - Inking me? You've really absorbed yourself into the world of Splatoon using lingo like that. 6:07 - That was a pretty clever bit of game design having one of the switches be on this mini octo-stamp's back. 8:05 - Swift reflex there. Bit of a nuisance the 8-ball halted to soon there but you managed to save it. 13:33 - The solution is simpler than either you or I expected. I assumed you would slide down that if you tried to climb up it but nope, Puni kept a steady footing and shot the ball across. 17:09 - No wonder why there were shooting at that ink switch so frantically. Hilarious way to deal with them. 18:33 - Awww, almost had a level without being splatted, almost. 21:15 - It's a create-a-character for Agent 3. I wonder if the Wii U data could be connected to allow you to transfer your Agent 3 from Splatoon 1 over.
I hope not, I don't think my heart can take it. X,D Yeah, he's absolutely poop at aiming! >:D Well, this one is. The others kinda been practicing.. XD I used to speak with that lingo when the first game was out. It's always fun, lolol Right? That really had me confused for a second there! A bit naughty, wasn't it? :P I swear most of this is not skill, and is more so just getting scared and reacting xD Yeah, I feel like some of these puzzles are a lot simpler than we realize. But we try to think too hard for a harder solution. 🤔 Another one down for Puni! 💪 They were like: "OH NO! Please no, no! Keep shooting fellas! KEEP-" So close, and yet so far... 😢 If it's anything like the last data transfer, NO THANKS. 😂 But that would have been fun, though. Seeing all of the old stuff make an appearance in the sequel. Kinda reminds of Stop n' Swop.
Ah yes, the joys of an accidental boss encounter. Good thing you had the recording equipment at the ready. 0:46 - Very convenient you mentioning the first Splatoon when the first boss of that game rocks up. Bit funny that even by this second game they were doing nostalgic throwbacks. 1:45 - You've not even dealt damage to Octostomp here and he's already adjusting his strategies. The difficulty certainly ramped up with Splatoon 2 compared to the first game. 3:15 - Real cool the implementation of your subweapon into this boss fight to dodge the gatling attack pattern. 7:06 - I'm amazed you dodged that; impressive stuff. It seems like a more cautious approach is what you should be doing but you're managing it. Real cool. 11:06 - Victory! An your reward is... a mini Pearl? Little bit strange to receive whilst Pearl is watching/in contact with you. 14:34 - Rapid fire shots; awesome! But gosh, only half-way. This rail mission is brutal. 19:39 - Gosh, by the time you were angled straight ahead to shoot the blocks it was already too late. Real cruel. I noticed the Kid Icarus uploads; neat that you ventured through the first game. Given I've already started this current Octoexpansion playthrough of yours, I didn't want to have to juggle another playthrough to view at the same time, but again, neat game choice. 25:02 - Amazing you managed to correct that misfire. 26:55 - It is fun when you manage to land atop the blocks. I assume the range of your weapon is too short to strike those other blocks ahead.
Isn't it funny when it happens? XD That was too close! Ikr?? I was expecting newer bosses in this dlc, but hey, it's still fun! I'll take it! Yeah, I thought he was changing it up a bit too quickly. D: That's kind of what I like about it, though. Really makes you sweat! >:D Thanks! I used to do that whenever I battled in Ranked to get through enemy ink when I was doing snipes with my Custom Ranger Blaster. Saved me a few times from getting stuck! XD You're more than right about that, lolol. I dunno, being cautious feels so slow, even though it saves a life. I usually just wing it! Yeah, I wonder how Pearl feels if she's keeping watch on my progress? Probably feels a bit weird, I'd imagine. That was way too close, I actually panicked when I did that. XD Ikr?? That always made me so upset cuz I'm so close!! And yet.. so far... Also thanks! I understand, I actually needed a break from doing Octo Expansion. Especially running into hard tracks like this. I needed to refresh~ :'D Bruh I swear none of that was skill, just pure panic x,D Thanks though, I appreciate it! 🙏 That gives a little extra hope to correct a miss, but you'd better be fast to get it done! You're right, the Bamboozler is a weapon that sort of plays like a Splatterscope, but the range is shortened. It's meant to be used up close to get an instant splat. I could never get used to it though. 😅
I think the bosses are easier here than in the GB Kid Icarus. Even the boss levels, although I would imagine kids in the late 80s had strategy guides for it. I know Nintendo Power wasn't out at the time of this game's release, but there had to be something.
Dang, GB's harder?? D: Maybe that's why I heard people call it hard, lol. I remember hearing from some reviews it was mostly discussed amongst each other in school or on the weekends if anyone got far in a particular game. And then they tried it out whenever they got together again I feel like it really brought more folks together before the internet was really expanded on. :o
@@Prometheus20X So there's a level where the only way to the boss is to be an eggplant. And I used a lot of save states on the 3DS for it. I did beat it in half an hour but I still had to look at guides. But the last level is great and the credits music is great. The fortress music made me want to play it in marching band. Japan got to play the game first when it was on 3DS VC but no reference of it in Uprising.
Losing your mind already? That doesn't bode well given you're only on Part 5 with one of the Thangs. 0:49 - Splatoon has a very 90's vibe to it... but I suppose if smart phones were a thing back in the 90's, the generation would have loved selfies as well. I was quite surprised there was no trap there. 5:09 - You got past that first segment and got into the zone. Great jumping and shooting. 8:16 - Was the Windows error sound intentional? Convenient timing if not and great edit if so. Gosh, you were so close! 12:20 - It was a valiant attempt to try and shoot the missed balloon. Your persistent jumping was going strong until it finally faltered as you attempted the shot. Also, loved the sound edit. 16:58 - Rather cruel how a single is all that is needed to knock you off the rails. You had health remaining but it sadly matters not. 18:35 - I do feel this type of thing would have been better with Splatoon 1's control style. Captain Toad has a rail shooter segments and I remember them being awesome on the Wii U. 19:41 - What a shot! I know this might be frustrating but it does eventually lead to some real cool moments like this. 22:48 - Your return to this mission is off to a worrying start already. Best of luck though. 27:07 - Bravo; mission finally accomplished! 28:33 - Oh yeah, the Devs loving giving the Octoling girls some good hips. Splatoon 3 takes it up a notch with quite an emphasised booty to Agent 8, helped by both costume and the chosen camera angles.
Trust me, this mission I was doing warrants the title. One of the hardest ones I did so far. 😭 Honestly it does sort of have that 90's feel to it. I feel like folks would have been head-over-heels in love with smartphones if they were out then. <3 Thanks, dude! I did my best. These things get really tough. D: Yes, the Window's Error noise is a sound I started using recently to give more of an emphasis of how bad I messed it up. x'D Don't worry, nothing happened, lol. Except me failing, lol. IKR!? This thing gets me so riled up so much, I hate it!! 💢 Thanks, I try to edit them in, but some of these may not have them because I get so flustered, lol. No matter how many times I tried it, it never seems to matter. ;-; I feel like it would have been easier, but my right joycon conked out on me. ;-; So I had to do it like old style. I appreciate that, thanks! :D Sometimes I can make shots, but oh my gosh, they don't seem to last, lol. Lol, you'll be surprised... >:D Thank you thank you! It was a hard-fought challenge, but we did it! :D Sure seems like it, and I think they knew it was gonna make for some rather interesting fan art. x'D OMG, they did?? x'D That's priceless!
@@Prometheus20X Don't worry, I had my own frustrations with this level, or rather video. I was half way through the video when my comment disappeared; had to try and remember all I was going to say and re-type it. Splatoon 1 indeed very much has a 90's element to it. So says the 90's kid that is I. It's an effective and iconic way to present messing up, so the sound choice is very much approved. As if the level wasn't hard enough, you had controller issues as well? It's cursed I say. Yeah, really obvious the camera angles in the trailers. It certainly made for an eye-catching thumbnail that proved effective if my views on my reaction video to it are to go by.
I never did play Splatoon 2's DLC (the game never gripped me quite like the first) so this is a cool way to witness. Pumi translates very well to an Octoling. 1:25 - I think you could just shot the ball into position. I don't think it was likely to fall through. 3:21 - Yeah, it seems the side stuff is your reward for carrying the 8-ball across. If you were speed running, you could ignore the 8-ball entirely. 5:03 - Okay, I was wrong; the 8-ball wasn't optional at all. Mission accomplished! 7:50 - You wanted it and you got it... shame above falling off the sponge immediately afterwards. Turns out sponges don't make very good ledges to grab onto. 11:03 - Gosh, this train is cursed. The first game did reveal that Splatoon was post-apocalyptic but in a funny way. Here we see a far darker side. One that effects the presence as well. 16:04 - That 8-ball stayed in place for a surprising amount of time. An once again, the sponges betray you! 17:45 - Nicely done; I had no idea that platforms continued to be sponges this far long. Managed to steady the ground and snipe the Octarian at the same time. 19:56 - Those are some tough enemies. An accurate splatbomb to the face and they are still surviving. 21:48 - After all the pain this stage put you through, it must be satisfying to use the bouncing 8-ball to splat these enemies.
Me either, I didn't have enough at the time. ^^' Plus after nso came out, that killed the mood of me ever wanting to play Splatoon again. Also I'm glad you like Puni in this! I was wondering what I should do for a character, and she seemed to work just fine. :D You may have been right about that. I mostly get too nervous whenever I do because it seems to veer so far off course, lol Very true! Now that I think about it, maybe I should have gotten it, the missions demand a lot of CQ points to even attempt later one. :'o They seem to be pretty easy! ...So far. I heard a lot of things saying this dlc is very tough. ;-; I was so upset afterwards x'D All that work for nuffin'! I was hoping it would have caught me, but no dice... Ikr??? D: I feel like Splatoon gets less light-hearted and darker with each reveal of what happened in the past. D: I need to make it a habit of not trusting those things. They always let me down! 😭 Yeah, if it wasn't for those Octarians firing at them, the sponge would have been fine, but they keep shrinking with each blast! Those guys have literally been the bane of my runs so far, lolol RIGHT?? They take a lot of punishment. Not good for me, especially knowing what lies ahead. ;-; It definitely was. >:D I felt so liberated just watching them do my job for me! xD
@@Prometheus20X Suddenly having to pay for the online was indeed a bit of a mood ruinner. I also feel the game felt much but with the Wii U Game Pad as opposed to the Joy-cons. I do hear that they pack plenty of challenge in the DLC so you best be prepared.
This was... truly something special. What's special about it, I'll never know. x'D But it was fun on some missions! Also hey AwwMan! Good to see you again! Hope you've been well!
Yeah, like, it was good, but also very confusing on the goals. If we had to do it over again, I'd say at least we know what and where to go. Still had fun, though! Yeah, screw that last fight, I wanted to actually blast that guy! >:'o
He just stood there getting sprayed in the face by those 2 in the lift & then straight up watched him chuck that grenade into his face & then was derprised by it... 3:48
When I looked back at this, I couldn't really see the grenade. I think this sort of thing happens often because we can't really see when they toss em'. So we always get taken by surprise ^^'
Oh man, the pillbox nightmare 😂 There were so many deaths here, and so much being turned around. But at least we got the security drone falling segment lol
xD Some of our funnier moments I think, but GEEZ was this one a pain to go through! D: I think I cut out a solid 45 minutes of it just from all the wandering we did, LOL
