Very very old farm truck! It would be the 20s to 30s! I do know it’s an international! I think that sign that said you can’t remove property is dated 1917 I believe? That house I’ve definitely seen it before! That round bard is amazing! Really cool old old home! That belt on the wall is old. Really really cool find!
These old places are very awesome! The bells in the tower’s need saved! The house is very depilated! The stuff found around them old houses is really cool! Trees grow right through old equipment and trucks, that is Mother Nature reclaiming her property! You should take a metal detector as I do when I explore, you never know what you are going to find! Are you in rial Kansas, as it looks it? To fall through to the basement would ruin your day! Most of the old farm houses or old houses had built in cabinets. Ok, you just said in Kansas…lol. I thought you was here! I’m born and raised country boy in Kansas and know of hundreds apon hundreds of abandoned places. Indian caves you name it I probably know of it! Looked like an old glass milk jug! Boots are a must not tennis shoes ! Too many rattle snakes here! Quaker oil is a very old oil company that doesn’t exist anymore!
Those ghost towns are very interesting, specially the history of them. Looks like Wyoming has a lot of cool sights. That mine was exceptionally awesome to see, I don't even know if many exists except in West Virginia, seeing Faith leaning over to see down into it was was scary, glad that small tree she was holding held up fine. Have you all ever been to Jackson Hole Wyoming? My brother went there few years back and said it was gorgeous with even an old barn that suppose to be well known or something. @@whatsaroundthebend In the UK that was a thing of the past with water towers everywhere for steam locomotive 🚂 Lot of disused railway lines since the 60s. Some parts have opened up as museums with steam trains in action for people to take a trip on or just have a nosey around basically.

Al, I may be wrong but what about a button like some have for donation to a channel…maybe a gas tip or something, some folks would like to chip in to help with expenses.. if I’m wrong I’m sorry.. I have seen them before.. 😊
We have thought about that. RU-vid really doesn't push my channel very much. I have seen other channels where somebody just drives around in their car and films out their window. A lot of those channels will get a half a million views and they can make a lot of money. We don't even make $10 a video on average. I know there is an audience out there that would enjoy them, but RU-vid just doesn't show my videos enough. We might look into it.

Loved that old time store, 130yrs old is crazy. And that old stove is pretty cool too see, I love seeing those old stoves, specially the coal ones from way back. Dont blame you for never wanting to climb on that to top with only ropes, i dont even like getting on ladders lol. Marvellous looking for sure, cant imagine how high it really is. There are some stores like that in East tennessee. I visited there before I started my RU-vid channel. That area was settled many years before the Midwest. If I ever make it out there I'll have to stop in to some of their old stores and film them. And devil's Tower is much taller looking in person than it is on the video. Very amazing. Lots of times, an old farming couple gets old, husband dies, wife is left behind. Either no kids and what kids are out there don't care about the place. Sometimes the place sells to a farmer for the farm ground and he farms it and just lets the buildings go to waste since he isn't interested in doing anything with the buildings. It's sure a shame. Ironically, many farms have been lost to farming.
That's exactly what happens here. So many of the abandoned houses I have found are now part of mega farm corporations. They don't care about the house or the contents at all, and don't want to bother with it. It's really a shame because they could have sold off the original homestead to someone who would have loved it.
Enjoyed your explore again. Nice to see Jacob and appreciate all he does. Seeing how much you like history and antiques I just wanted to let you know that when you come to Eastern S.Dakota you should really check out the BUGGY Musiem in the tiny town of Stockholm. Grant County has a great historical.society.
We will have to check it out sometime. We didn't make it that far north on this road trip. Brookings was as far north as we made it. But we will have to remember it for the next one. Glad you like the videos. I'm already ready for another road trip! 😁
we loved the trip , and we love on the east coast of canada and we can sometimes smell the smoke from the fires from out west..and that fur coat looked good on faith and in canada that could be worn for 3 seasons

It is the same devil's Tower from the movie. I thought about that while I was out there. It's awesome having somebody watch from the other side of the world! It's amazing to think about. Faith is not Jake's sister. I understand that mix up though. I have three boys. We are definitely working hard to improve the channel and Jake is helping a lot by editing the videos. That was a pretty awesome store. Most of the residents in that area are gone and I think they just depend on the tourist. That American flag hat did especially look good on faith I believe. We have been putting a lot more work into our channel but RU-vid just doesn't show it to enough screens. I'll have one video that does decent and then the next one will barely do anything. I think we only get 5 to 10 dollars on average per video. I have seen other videos recently from other RU-vidrs that have got a half a million views or more. All they do is drive around in their car and film out the window and tell the demographics of a town. I know there's an audience out there for our channel but RU-vid is not showing our videos to the right people apparently. They say once a channel is ignored by the algorithm, it is nearly impossible to bring it up. We have thought about starting a completely new channel and see if RU-vid will push our videos more. It's definitely discouraging to be excited about putting a video out, just to see it flop. We do appreciate all your comments and support!
This is what I found about it. Devils Tower in Wyoming got its name from Colonel Richard Irving Dodge, who wrote in his 1875 journal that Native Americans called the site "The Bad God's Tower". Dodge's surveyors adopted the name with some modifications, and it became "Devils Tower". The name was used on maps of the time and became official when President Theodore Roosevelt made it the first national monument in 1906.

Glad you made it to D.T. I think I made a comment about it when you were in S.D. last year. I'm surprised you didn't walk the trail around the monument. There is a spot that goes into detail about the parachute guy being stuck up there. If I remember correct, he had a rope ladder that was to be his way down, but it fell off the side.
History hunters did a story on that man. It was a pretty interesting video! He was trapped up there for days I believe. I think he went to jail if I'm not mistaken. We would have stayed longer there but it was close to 100° and we were ready to get in the AC.
