17:15 literally said the same thing then heard it on time to twice (Twice variety show) and it got stuck in my head that I had to listen to it again lol
Nayeon actually wears glasses irl.. don't know why i came back to say this lmao. The line distribution on Icon is insane to me, like each part lyrically suits them perfectly. Espresso will always hit for me
this was truly so therapeutic to listen to, i really loved everything about this.. i hope you will do more sit down/vlog style videos in the future ~ thank u for sharing this moment with us! <3
it was so interesting to see the story behind it and your thoughts leading you to make this decision. From the outside it seems like such a small detail, but the weight of thought behind it is huge. I love the little stories that help shaping a human. :D
Hello! Nayeon recently released her first comeback album (and single). If you have some time, it would be really awesome to see you react to it :) It has a different vibe than her debut album. Thank you and hope you're having a great day!
this was so fun i loved the video! other artists i would recommend who are allies as far as i know are kwon jinah (k-balland/k-rnb soloist) and BoA (kpop soloist). Kwon Jin-Ah has a heavenly voice and she appeared in a youtube video alongside Sakura with a known openly gay korean celebrity and they both were openly supportive of him. She also is known for changing lyrics of songs to feature girl instead of boy (e.g. her own written song knock in recent live performances and her cover of new jeans hype boy was sang as hype girl). BoA has been supportive of the lgbtq community for a long time. early in the 2000's there were multiple articles of her hanging out in gay clubs in America and when she released her first english singles she would perform the songs at pride festivals (which was amazing considering this was in the 2000's) but yeah I would recommend checking out their stuff if you have time, although not queer idols they are openly supportive :D
As Dami said: *Guiding me up, guiding me up!* Great video, and quite different style to introducing a group... But I like it... And thank you for picking our Ladies to be the spotlight... InSomnia are sure have a lot of unique ideas for promoting our Ladies... Stay safe, keep healthy, and have great days
Small usability tip (not sure if someone has posted it in a future video), but you can turn off autoplay next video. There’s a slide switch in the bottom right of the player that flips between play and pause.
The thing about Kpop is that not all Korean singers are kpop idols, and not bc of the genre… Kpop is not a genre, is just the industry. Kpop idols are signed under a korean entertainment company, have a specific training program, have some particular ways to promote and interact with fans, etc. Dreamcatcher is definitely Kpop, the girls trained to be kpop idols under a korean company doing everything a kpop group does (singing, dancing, rapping, promoting in variety shows, even encouraging parasocial relationships with fans lol). I know is not the point of the video but since you pointed it out, I wanted to say my opinion too 😅
Really interesting! And yeah to be honest, I completely agree, I think there can be lots of different opinions and definitions for what's kpop and what isn't - if you focus on the fact that kpop is an industry (which is the case) then DC is kpop. If you focus on the music itself and what genre is "kpop" then I would argue and say that DC isn't kpop. It's such a fun subject to think and talk about, and I don't think anyone's right at the end, there can be as many different definition that there are people! Thank you for watching, I appreciate it <3
