Dude. This is my bump. (Well, one of them). Thank you for all the prctice you did in your life to learn the pitch fader. lost art nowadays with 'sync' buttons and BPM meters. Modern DJs mix with their eyes and then make minor adjustments with the platter to keep the BPM meter in check. Nobody has a clue anymore how to mix with their ears it's actaully quite strange. I learned how to mix in '96 on MKIIs with a simple Vestak (No EQs). Drum & Bass was my jam for a decade then I moved on to literally everything else, house, techno, downtempo, ambient and breaks. Tech house is my favorite genre outside of D&B and you are playing tracks that I would play out. Your mixing is divine and the simple setup with a rotary mixer proves you are one of the real ones. I must say I've always had problems distinguishing music as to which genre it could be labeled as. I understand that at the end of the day it's just good music and labels are NOT needed. But if you want to be a DJ and find the kind of music you like in a store or a website you MUST know the sub-genres. In your opinion, what do you call this style of electronica? To me it's tech-house. I could be wrong, but I've collected a lot of Tech-house from Beatport and the style of tech-house that I like is VERY much similar to this style of music. Anyways, cheers! The 96 sucks! Had one for 2 days after my Ecler Evo 5 and hated the build quality....none of the channels are matched as regards to volume...I ended up with a mastersounds 4v which made the 96 sound rubbish.
