Come on a journey with a true petrol head. Join me for my motorcycle adventure from day 1. This is a new experience for me and I'm full of excitement. We will cover tips, tricks, safety, modifications, maintenance, and many other topics, not just motoring!
I bought the MR competition earlier this year but only managed 1600 miles on it because the weather as been very wet in the UK 😢 Done some similar mods to you end can belly pan, tank pads, rad guards etc I couldn’t help notice you have your bar end mirrors the wrong way round it might be you just prefer them that way 👍
I am also fortunate enough to have a 2019 S1000R as well as a 2022 S1000RR M (which went back to BMW due to engine failure after less than 2600 miles) so I have chopped my S1000R in for an M1000R and as you say there is no comparison the M is just astounding, I have had it a month and took it down to NE Spain - now have done about 2650 miles on it and it is simply phenomenal - best decision ever!!
The ilmberger carbon belly pan, did you order the one for the RR? I am hesitant to order that one incase it doesnt fit properly, but i think it fits though. I figured i would ask.
Hi! Order the S1000R belly pan. It fits 100%, no alterations needed. I had it on my S1000R and put it over ro the ME. The only thing to keep in mind is that it will NOT fit if you have the FULL titanium Akrapovic system. With the standard exhaust it will work.
@@motoglobe1637 ah sound it. Don't worry about the comments here.. It was good to see it ridden like you did. Also, I use all that power, on road, just mostly in first gear 😂
You say the motors significantly stronger I’m curious how you came to that conclusion when watching the video it didn’t seem like it that much of a 45 miles an hour?
I own this bike.. its not a demo! You can feel it without pinning it to the wall, and I wouldn’t comprise myself or my license publicly anyway. Also if you watched the whole thing i drove in built up areas in peak times and lots of oncoming traffic out of the town. Why would you expect anyone doing wheelies and triple digits under these conditions?
@@motoglobe1637 Exactly buddy. Ride your own ride. We all know that an average rider wouldn’t even be able to exploit that power on a race track let alone the road. I bet it puts a smile on your face though when you open the garage door 👍
Exactly..all correct. My video was meant to be a chilled, informative one, representing the experiences of riding it on a daily basis, not at wot. It doesn’t mean I didn’t try 😉
Hi, I have the S1R M Sport 2021, and at low revs 4,500/5,000 at a fixed 80km/h, there are strong vibrations on the handlebars that numb my left hand, this has been happening since they took my front wheel apart. The New M1R, which I'm thinking of buying, how is it with vibrations?
Hi! Maybe get your wheel balanced, can be a possible reason, also incorrect suspension setup can also cause this. I took my bike straight from the dealer to a suspension place to dial it in for my weight etc.. My wheels are balanced as well. Vibrations are minimal if any. Try also not to grip the handlebars with force, grip the bike at the tank with your legs. Body posture can also cause numb hands. For eg.: how is your weight distributed between the saddle, rear sets and handlebar.
Has anyone actually ridden an M1000R beyond 8k when fully run in. These reviews are bordering on pointless as the full characteristics of the bike cannot be exploited while being run in. No offence but all of the review so far are boring to say the least.
It’s because not many had reached 600miles to do the 1st service and out of those who did maybe 2% does RU-vid videos…so there is your reason. Also im 100% sure it will be stupid fast..that’s not even a question. But some folk might be interested about the headlight…just for an example.
I had a test ride on a M1000R fully unlocked. Its dumb fast and easy to ride. I have been only riding for 2 years but its completely different to my Indian FTR Found out it does 75mph in 1st and 110mph in 2nd. Loved its on the list for the new bike between the M1000R or the Streetfighter V4S
@@motoglobe1637 Swinging that way, As i seen they offer the £1060 5 year service plan too. I haven't looked into the cost of the ducati services but i guess they would be rather expensive
@@flip297 especially if you keep the bike so that you reach the desmo service. If you are in the UK there is also an option to pay for your servicing monthly, if I remember correctly it’s around £16. That’s with BMW I meant to say!
Hehe...awesome bike and congratulations on the swap...i have been talking to CaliMoto and Chris from BT Tune and they both said the bike is wobbly when you push it hard...im curious about your feedback... BTW what earbuds/coms are you using? Stay safe and post some more, M1KR vlogs are very rare.
Hi! I didn’t pin it yet to the wall…😂 I had the “22SR, people also commented on the wobble. I didn’t get on the SR at all. I think its a combination of things: bad posture, death grip on the bars, unbalanced front wheel. However if its still a damper issue, im sure that most people will get an Ohlins upgrade. Im sure to report back soon with more content!
I use a Cardo Slim unit for my current helmet. The camera/mic setup is still the same i had for a while..it works so why change it. I have an older video here, on my channel where i go over the setup.
