Singapore is sometime referred to “the red dot nation” because a red pin point 📍 can cover the entire country on a world map. It’s a reference to the history between Singapore and a comment “joke” made by Indonesia. It’s very interesting! I suggest you read into it future if you’re curious ☺️
When I stayed, my hotel was paid for my by college so I’m unsure how much that would be…But I know people who did hostels and that was much more affordable. Food was typically $4-8 a meal so I was paying $25 for food max (that includes drinks and snacks). Hawker center food is very affordable with meals being $3.5 for veggie options and a few dollars more for meat. Alcohol is very expensive though - even more than the US. Expect $15 average for a cocktail. Transportation was very affordable so at most $7 a day by metro if you’re commuting a lot. Hope that helps!
Hi Mya, congratulations - what a beautiful story! It cut off at the end, did you make a part 2 video? I haven't found it on your page, but would love to chat with you as I was adopted from China as well if you'd be open to it🤗
