If one is making flash cards to begin this process, what words would you recommend? I feel so lost, my son is 13 months and I want to teach him as much as I can. I’m concerned for him currently not talking very much, and want to try this with him.
I started the Doman Method from birth. I'm very exited about this journey. My baby is 7 weeks old and I can see her excitement when I flash the black and white detail cards from the Doman Newborn Program, she even has her favorite, when She sees the Triangle figure her face lights up and she has smiled couple of times when showing the cards. it's fascinating to see. I don't underestimate my child's intelligence. Commitment and consistency!
I have been looking for a mom like you for about three years now, it’s amazing how difficult it was for me to find someone like you. I also started with Glenn Doman and your baby can learn. My pediatrician is convinced that my child is autistic because he’s hyper focused on numbers and equations. I’m happy to know that I’m not crazy. He’s not a genius! The whole word method of teaching has taught him how to grasp information quickly and retain the information. My issue is what do I do now. He’s bored at school, and he is scheduled to go to kindergarten in August. He is not emotionally ready to be moved up in a grade. I don’t want to rush him. I have subscribed and I will keep up with your progress. Thank you, for this video.
When did you introduced foreign languages to your child? and, which method did you use? I'm preparing the materials to use Glenn Doman's Program starting at birth. I'm making my own red word cards in Spanish since I'm a native speaker and also will be using the original red word cards that comes with the program in English, I'm just a little bit insecure of when to introduce new languages.
I spoke to him in my native language Polish since he was born. We speak English at home so he’s been naturally hearing that as well. I introduced Chinese when he was 6 months old (we have someone coming in twice a week to our house) and recently Spanish (also found a native speaker just recently.) hope this helps!
Thank you for watching! If you head over to my Instagram, “montessoriandbeyond” and click on highlight (one of the circles below my profile picture) titled “Leo’s interests” you’ll find videos of Leo’s favorite educational activities, toys, and extracurriculars. I’m also working on a separate video just on his extracurriculars. In my last video here on RU-vid I showed his favorite “little scientist busy book” :) and lastly on my website www.rbemontessori.com I’ve posted about his favorite Chinese books :)
Dziękuje! Właśnie pracuje nad kolejnym filmikiem i żeby dodawać bardziej regularnie :) niestety pochłania to bardzo dużo czasu montowanie wszystkiego :)
Hey, can you please tell where did you get from mathematics books with Peppa pig?. I guess you print it your self. Where are from you find them? Thank you
Taaak jestem pod wrażeniem, super ze mówisz tak jak jest, bo przygotowanie wszystkiego naprawdę zajmuje sporo czasu! Dajesz mnóstwo motywacji! Dzięki za ten film :)
Incredible job! Well done:) the best thing is that this is really working :) even if you don't spend so much time on it. My son (3yo) knows 3 languages by now. English is his 3rd one and we spend maybe 30min daily, maybe less. Keep us updated on Chinese! I am really interested!
That’s amazing. You’ve given him the best gift. He won’t have to learn it the hard, boring way in school. Same here, Leo only gets a few hours a week of Chinese. Will post updates :) thank you !
You are doing a great job mama and more power to you. This world needs moms like you who try so much to share their knowledge by experience. Leo and you are just amazing and truly inspiring .
