I am a cabinet maker and joiner by trade and I'm also a DIY and tool geek. I'm currently renovating an old house. There is a huge amount of work to do and I'm doing most of it myself to save money. I thought it would be good to make "how to" and "progress" videos to show how it can be done and to help/inspire others. I also plan to renovate my garage and turn it into a workshop. If you are a company and would like us to test or review your tools or products then don't hesitate to get in touch!
I now have a website with lots of DIY and money saving help and advice. The link is below.

Making videos takes a great deal of time & effort and they can be expensive to make. If you would like to make a donation to help the channel continue to grow then follow the paypal link below. Thank you 👍🏼
I have a question and wondering if anyone in the comments can help. I'm thinking about switching my own light switch to a chrome one, my electrics aren't labelled at the unit. Is it safe to just turn the whole electricity off with the red switch rather than flick every individual switch to see which is my downstairs lights?
great video very well explained. What fixings would you recommend to use when fixing sole plate 4x2 to the concrete floor please. I will be starting on garage conversion soon. any advice would be appreciated. thanks.
Do you have to put a vcl if it’s a cavity wall. Thinking of using insulated plasterboard. Also dya think you could use this method on ceilings . Cheers
Random question, but used this for my daughter 3 years ago and then took one of the panels to make it a bed but since then had a second, can’t remember for the life of me where the bolts/screws were put, do you know where I could find the same ones from?
So useful - especially the multiple techniques for cutting. Not to mention I've got the same mini-circular saw, which makes this task even easier. 😀 Thank you!!!
"I had a few beers and cut it too deep, but here's a good tip. Dont drink and then do work on someone's house and then chuck in some wire behind to pack it out because you effed it up". Proof that anyone without any skill can get paid work. No wonder people want the Europeans to do their work.
Great tutorial....just what I was looking for. Just wondering, how much of a gap did you leave all round, did you trim this off after you made the templates and did you decide on the 8mm or 10mm glass in the end?
Why would you measure the angle and cuttng it the first time if all you need to do is cutting it to any angel up to 45 and scribe it?! Excuse my English
I had this but I Checked behind skirting board and it was dry. The issue wasn’t rising damp but simply condensation from the cold wall as it’s solid. Ventilation was the solution so not necessary to drill loads of holes into brickwork.
What annoys me is the way flymo cables break internally with no external signs of where the break is. I'm really careful not to cut through it while cutting, but I've got such a big lawn and it gets a fair bit of stress. I'm finding they break inside after two or three years just through normal use, normally it is near the point where the cable enters the mower, but it can be anywhere.
