@DEVGRUnotST6 Because people in the special forces have called him out for bullshit. There's an interview he gives and his numbers are all off something a sniper would never forget. He's most likely part of recruitment and military propaganda. Seems like cool dude but after hearing all the simple makes he made it really makes you question who this guy really is.
Couple of my buddies were there. Hoover was one of my SL’s for a deployment. He was always ready for a fight but a very great and humble guy. I still cant believe they made them withdraw like that. So much disregard for the operators on the ground.

Marcus said in the Anderson cooper video that he was trying with everything he had to get to him. He said he was standing up, yelling for Murphy to come back down to him. He couldnt reach Murphy due to the terrain and incoming fire. Antihero purposely left this crucial piece of context to make him look bad. And antihero interpreted it as him abandoning his buddies.
Maybe look into how well the SOCS enablers, to include parachute riggers, are integrated as organic members of MARSOC and who deploy at the team and company level before doubting the story. A difficult set of SOF courses that other services send their own enablers. The requirements of already being an effective member of their own communities in the Marine Corps. The additional MOS that opens up doors throughout the SOF realm. Badged or not, the SOCS are putting it on the line and largely sharing the same hardships. More importantly they have the respect of the teams where they serve. Attached is the wrong phrase here.
This was GWOT days. Marsoc was different then. When Forecon drew up their baseline stuff and started moving over I ended up with one of the force company spots as a young recon marine after coming back from dive school. I remember him though he had been in 3 years when I came through. Marsoc was very basic in those days.
