I changed this deck belt a month ago. Now the deck height is screwed up and it’s digging into my lawn at 2.5” setting. Where did I screw up? Any suggestions?
The hardest part of removing the mower deck on my JDx350 is getting the J-clips out. It looks so easy on brand new ones, but I have lost a lot of skin on my hands trying the get these pins all the way out.
I hate this belly mower. I've owned my 1025R and mower deck since 2015, and it's a battle - EVERY SINGLE TIME - to install it. Worst $ I've ever spent on that accessory.
Quick and easy example, but whose ever idea it was to keep running those yellow shade swipes in front of the parts I need to see as their being taken on/off, well that guy should be permanently assigned to cleaning manure spreaders...........
This is just short of worthless. Lining up the spring loaded pins into the draft arm holes on my X500 is very difficult due to poor design and a way too tight tolerance. Some farms have gravel driveways that are not perfectly level but Deere didn't put that in the design equation. My neighbor agrees and has the dealer come and pick up their mower twice a year to avoid dealing with the deck. He'd rather pay the couple hundred bucks. Getting the pedal up and locked with the lift lever is not so easy either.
No useful information here. My mower deck was a pain to slide under tractor. Not as shown here. The draft bar instructions were horrible. He shows it sliding right on without explaining orientation or tension. Drive belt demo is a joke. No way he just pops that on. The tension arm tension is tremendous. And now I am stuck and needing help because I can't get belt on. Someone was obviously holding the tension arm for him. I had an LT190 and they had a tension release handle and it was straightforward. JD seems to be engineering their products to be less user friendly. If it were as easy as this video then you wouldn't need a video.
How about a video showing how to adjust shoe height and lift adjustments to be made for blower and blade clearances on irregular surfaces like concrete or gravel?🤔
Whoever is responsible for the after effects of this video deserves a hard kick in the nuts. WHY ARE YOU COVERING HALF OF EVERY SCREEN WITH A YELLOW GRAPHIC? YOU’RE NOT FANCY! IT’S MORONIC! IT’S A HOW TO VIDEO! YOU’RE BLOCKING HALF OF THE HOW TO’ING! ffs 🤦
Never liked the hydraulic couplers that John Deere uses. Dirt, grass and other debris gets into those couplers especially the females. Ever since I switched to Flat face couplers, I don't have that issue. Also wish they would incorporate the hydraulic quick connect valve bank that has a handle for quick connections. So much room for improvments.
These Z-tracks are Chinese junk I made the mistake of buying my 1st Riding zero-turn mower and I bought one its stayed in the shop more than it did on my lawn so I turned it into a flower pot stand
Best video out there regarding the install. Put mine back on today while it was 60 outside at the end of October and only pinched my thumb twice. Ready for the snow..
