GEMINI, they only have sex one time in their life. Other than that they want to adopt kids Tamela Mann adopted 20 damn kids Angela Jolene adopted 20 damn kids. It’s what the Gemini does. You can’t fool me. I think Gladys Knight adopted the kid too. You married to Gemini I’m sorry, lonely Jacking off or cheating.
Soul train was best before they started to glamorize (not in a good way) and separate the soul train lines into male and female lines. Colorism and texturism started to creep into the vibe of self love and beauty.
Morris didn't correct Don, when Don said the idea of the Time and it's music production was Morris' idea. Strange that Prince didn't get mentioned. Maybe he didn't want to acknowledge it, until they were successful.
I was a junior in high school, when this aired. The Time was such a fuggin breakthru, to me. Get it up, is my favorite, from these guys. I conked my hair, wore baggies, wanting to be Morris Day cool.
Damn it's hard to believe I was only 13 years old when this episode aired in 1981 now Don Cornelius know damn well he shouldn't have asked him you write your own songs no Prince wrote All that music for the first couple of time albums lol 🤣
I used to watch these best of soul train reruns on WGN and WGN America. It was a good 14 years ago or more. It ran around 2 in the afternoon on a Saturday and sometimes they had back to back episodes.
I used to watch these reruns. It was either right after they became WGN America or right before. It replaced the new episodes as the show started syndicating reruns. WGN was the only channel that ran it in my area. And it was a national channel. Remember tuning in. Each week they would mix '70s and '80s reruns and at one point they did a couple from 1990-91. The reruns faded away after about 4 years.
Interesting fact, I watched Soul Train growing up on this channel since I myself am from H-Town!!! Those were Saturdays I loved as a kid/teen!!! “Love, Peace, and Soul.” - RIP Don Cornelius
This's one of my favorite episodes on Soul Train. I was 22 years old. It brings back great memories while I was in college. The music was so beautiful back in the day. ☺️
The famous cityscape set design was the handiwork of veteran set designers Bill Harris and Tony Sabatino...who would later design the sets for "High Rollers", "To Tell The Truth '90", and my personal favorite, "Fun House". This set remain a part of the Soul Train legacy from September 15, 1984 to June 26, 1993.
