Wow. I never comment on videos and I’ve seen dozens of reviews about this sling, but I really appreciate your thoughtful commentary on the real user experience of using this sling in practice, your preferences for a slimmer config, and with all the caveats that come with it. It’s like you made this video for me 🥹 as I have the exact same preferences and you answered all my questions. Thank you!!
Any idea the dimensions of this bag? I'm looking for something around 18" high, 12" wide and 6" deep. I'm looking for something between 20 and 25 liters, and the Brown Buffalo 21 is tempting but looks just a little too tall.
@@hunsinger its about 17x11x6 it’s on the smaller side, maybe about 19L. I tried the TBB and it’s indeed a bit tall. Hope u find the right pack for you!
I've looked almost all the review videos regarding Bellroy Lite sling and this one gotta be the most informative one especially on highlighting its flaws. Thank you very much for your time to review this slingbag.
Thanks for the review! The concept of the 4 zippers is really interessting and seems to be very practical. I would be a bit worried about theft while being in a croud or in public transportation. Is there a loop to secure the buttom zippers if needed?
My pleasure! I absolutely love the 4 zips and it’s one of the reasons i can’t see myself going back to a regular 2 zip pack. But i get your concern even though i have yet to worry about that. Mine doesn’t have a loop but im sure it wouldn’t be too hard to add if that’s something you desired! Thanks for watching! 🤙🏽
@@CarryQuandariesI have never experienced a theft while wearing a backpack - I only read such warnings every now an then. Just a little loop at the zipper-ending where you can fiddle a little karabiner through or even a small lock, should do the trick. Then one can decide, according to the environment, if a lock is appropreate or not. That said, it is always best to carry your backpack on your front, if you feel unsave ;-) Looking forward to your content - Greetings from Germany 🙂
Thanks Mirah! I left a year ago and moved back to Jerusalem where I grew up. It’s a stressful place to live but it’s nice being close to my family again.
Your modification just changed this signature Xpod name to Bellroy😂😂😂 I think you should get a Bellroy instead but I still love the looks of Code of Bell Xpod😊
At 10:20, about the compression, this is the reason why i was thinking about buying the Aer Sling, but since it doesnt compress like the original, i think ill pass. I have the tomtoc Xpac (it looks nice) but it has no compression straps, thats why im searching for something else; it also has other nuances that i dont like.
@@DrifterGaming nah man I sold the X pod to a subscriber quite a while ago. This video is from my early carry nerding days. These days I’ve developed a pretty solid rotation I use depending on where i’m going. In the X pod size range I use a few: The High Above Nova waistpack (yup, I’ve become a waste pack guy haha), the DSPTCH Unit Sling large which is like a cross between a sling and a tote, the Bellboy Lite Sling which I actually haven’t used for a while, but probably the most similar sling I use is the Trakke Banana Sling in X Pac, sleek and simple, but doesn’t expand or anything like the X Pod.
i wonder what other brands/model of sling bags would be considered as an alternative to the xpod/xpod2? Same techwear-esque look, w/ neoprene-like material at the back, number of pockets for easy organization, & overall functionality
Yea I think the CPL 24 turned me off a bit bc of the front panel that opens in “the wrong direction” this was before the “mirror” version came out. I’m actually currently eyeing the CTB 26, looks like a dope large edc…
Yeah it definitely is on the noisy side, but keep in mind my microphone setup was a bit too sensitive in this video so it sounds louder than it does in real life.
Thank you for the taking the time to do this, and the great explanations! I actually found this the best video to just show the features of even the unmodified bag in use! It sounds like (from other comments) this was the original version. I'd be interested in your thoughts on the V2 changes. Mahalo!
