Wish I could catch them live. However…a little past live shows where it is loud. So will settle to listen at home. Music sounds like a bit of a journey.
Oh, to have been at this show! Thanks for sharing. So so glad to hear Jake back at the mic. His voice is so smooth and mellow. And Danny, what a treat. Knew he could sing, but to see him do it while he's banging a drum?! Oh, you lucky souls who were there. Can't wait. ✌💗&🤝
It was such a great show but I discovered at 45 I’m a little old to be standing in the pit for that long. Thank you Rival Sons and GVF for making it worth the pain. I would also like to give a shout out to Advil. Fml, I’m getting old. Lol
Hehe aww. Yea im 45 as well and I am swooning over this band like I'm a teenager....i feel partially dirty haha. I used to be in a band myself and i felt like music was dead until I found these guys! Their music just brings my spirit to the next level, i cant even describe it! I like the Rival Sons as well. Hope the advil helped hehe Excedrine is my friend :P
So funny. All you younger idiots. Now what goes around comes around. This is what I grew up with. Zepp, Aero, Triumph, Rush, go back and listen to what your parents and grandparents were listening to. You know what this sounds like. No Quarter by Led Zeppelin
@@michaelrhinehart5305 Sorry but I grew up watching Zeppelin and it's just a lil...Idk. I want the lads to be their own band. It's like they're pretending to be them lol. The comparisons will never end until they establish their own style
@@tyjomello If you grew up watching Zep you shouldn't be surprised to know how much Zep stole themselves. And that comparison has always been a bland, surface level analysis since the day Greta released their first full-length album. I'll give you the double EP for the comparisons, but they've been forging their own path ever since. I implore you to find a single song off Battle at Garden's Gate that actually sounds like LZ beyond the occasional cherrypicked 5 second guitar lick.
@@clux5305 I'm not talking about the sound at all. You're influences have a major effect on your sound. I'm talking about how Jake is literally dressing like page mimicking his movements lol. Same with the singer too
@@tyjomello So you care more about the band's appearance than you do their music? That seems counterintuitive to me. Who cares if he's ripping off an outfit? It's not like that outfit was actually any kind of signature thing for Jimmy Page past the mid-70s anyway. And if they really wanted to rip off LZ's appearance, the guitarist wouldn't be playing on an SG body style and the rest of the band wouldn't be dressed anywhere close to the way they do now.
My best wishes for continued success, divine inspiration and growth to GVF. Hopefully, the younger generation of Rock fans will continue to embrace them and stand proud recruiting more into the "Peaceful Army".
