Oooh dear, did you mean this one to be such a deep one?! Of course corsets were just support garments, but when an add of the day uses the word "harness" and "electric"...and then you added the cleaning housemaids... Yup, men of the day (and of to-day) would probably like to harness all women to endlessly clean while looking slim, trim and energized. But you freed them with the butterfly, we climbed out of the corset-chrysalis so now we can do whatever we please, like playing the guitar in a cute blouse. And study at Oxford. (I think. Or is it still a man's bastion?)
