Holy shit man. In having a nostalgia breakdown. I hate to say it but drum and bass fucking sucks now. It used to be something else honestly. I cant listen to this new stuff it just fucking pains me this is so so so much better.
Too sweet, commercial sound overtones, boring. This is the period where the corporate beast had already consumed true underground music. If you went to real underground parties you understand.
Nah man, this was just what was played in some of the more "alternative rave" clubs. Not the shit you'd hear on the radio, but deff not the shit you'd hear in the woods. Collectives like harbinger soundsystem and silverback are keeping the sound alive, along with many others
Not at all , this is when liquid was at its peak! … every genre has its time and 2006 to 2012 was liquids 🤷♂️ I went to underground party’s like therapy sessions, prspct , blackout and many more and they all had different levels to it … all depended on what you wanted to hear
