it seems to me that it would be better if these videos about rotation did not come out at all. almost every game someone is nonstop running to the far point and falling, and when I ask him what are you doing? he answers do you know what rotation is? he just watched the video, and all he remembered was the word "rotation", and he firmly believes that he is doing the right thing, that painting a circle for a few seconds is an incredible advantage in the game, and that the team without his support lost other points and went to respawn it doesn't bother him at all.
I recently started spellbreaker its crazy man im running a full might boon build even running double might proc glyph on greatsword, Great self healing
I'm not sure I got it correct here but it sounds like whatever we do, just arcane blast>double attune air>lightning strike>blinding flash and do big number. I can work with that.
@@Shadowfall_TV Yeah this is fantastic, thank you. I'm a mesmer main but going for the pvp backpack so I need to diverge a little for that. I was mucking around with deadeye and willbender and then it hit me that I may actually be dumb because I love weaver in pve ... so why not try it in pvp too? I don't know if I'll be good, but this video is giving me a great headstart on that little journey :)
Another thing you're wrong about is whether to go for the artifacts in the Colosseum map. It's best to ignore them completely, cause they don't give any points and the buffs are not so important if you leave your team outnumbered.
I can also guarantee you will lose more matches than you win over a large sample size of matches if you let the enemy team free cap the buffs. Getting both buffs is a massive advantage in team fights to the point where it's not even worth it for the enemy team to take any while you have them active. Highly mobile classes with teleports can rotate to and cap the buffs in about 10-15 seconds. Which is roughly the same amount of time it would take for them to rotate between any of the points on the map and potentially generate value there. Capturing the buffs not only generates value by denying them from the enemy team, but they're also massive 20% damage and 5000 health and 100 toughness buffs to your entire team for a minute and a half.
I can guarantee that you will lose more matches than you win over a large sample size of matches if you choose to go for beasts without understanding when is the right time to do so.
Hey man o/ I hope you are doing well, we all miss your videos, but we also understand that everyone has a life beyond videogames. Hope to see you around someday again!
Lil late to the party on this one, but this guide is awesome. As a returning player who’s very (and fuck i do mean VERY) rusty, having someone explain combos and engages and situational setups while still being concise is something that gw2 scene lacks, so thank you.
@@Shadowfall_TVhow does this compare with the (apparently?)“meta” condi reaper these days? Are you still making guides? As a new gw2 player getting into spvp I want to learn how to provide the most value. I already know i cant 1v1 and should stick to teamfights to make the aoe count 😅
Me choosing Greatsword/Longbow Untamed as my first PvP class. Then also me, watching this video and hearing "Untamed is the hardest spec to play"... I definitely struggle to remember that I have a pet at times. But it's incredibly fun and flexible - I don't think I'm switching any time soon 😉
About the first example situation: At first i was also thinking of rotating to the far point instead of joining the team in mid. But now i am not sure. I am in mid to high gold elo and i have made the experience that at my level, people dont disengage. So in the 4v5 situation at mid, i would risk my team losing the fight, dying AND having the enemy decap that point while going to the further away point (from close to far). Considering this, do you still think that i should decap far instead of helping my team win the teamfight (or at least see if they need me?)
I have played pvp for the Legendary Backpiece. While I was farming for back, I bought the ascended medium Gear. Now I wanna complete it with a legendary medium Armor. For that I wanted to know more tipps and tricks for pvp. Found your video for "classes in pvp" and then these Guides. From beginner to Advanced. Thanks for your help and nice videos btw!
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. (2 Corinthians 7:10) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30)
this video helped me alot. got battered in sPvP and i make so much dmg now. i alwasy thought i have to play with arcane/earth and toughness runes/amulet bc of the squishy, but this build is just spanking
Hey Super! Thanks for the support! Let me give you some additional things to consider. Dying is only ever worth if you need to die on node to win a game. Asides from that, it will always be worth it to disengage the instant you're about to be outnumbered and repush the 1v1 if you're confident you can decap, kill, and/or recap the node after. Otherwise, or if you're not side noding, rotate elsewhere. For context, a high level side noder will be able to hold a 1v3 for about a minute or more and either generate (a) down(s), disengage, or stall if they really can't escape. If you're dying more than once or twice a match then something is going wrong. If you're dying in 20 seconds, you have to ask yourself what your team got as a result of that. Here are some different scenarios: 1. If you didn't buy enough time in the outnumbered fight for your teammates to generate at least 1 kill or gain map advantage, then it wasn't worth. 2. If your teammates generated 1 kill, the map will be even 4v4 after you die and whoever comes out ahead is whoever has map advantage. 3. If your teammates generate map advantage when you die but lose it in a 5v4 after, that still isn't worth as the enemy team can push a snowball. 4. If your teammates generated 2 kills and map advantage, that would be worth. Hope that helps!
everyone beginning should see the capture and rotation strategies. Every time I've played which is not much, its the typical free for all, battle royale in one zone only. I'm not a roamer but I would be the only one going for other nodes.
Hey friend, watching you on twitch I saw a thief combo Imparing Daggers + Pistol Stealth Attack. How can you do that? When I use Imparing Daggers while stealth, I lose my stealth before the stealth attack, then I lose a value damage on this build
Hey Giancarlo! You have to be standing far enough away that you can start the pistol stealth attack before any of the impairing daggers land. Hope that helps! Thanks for the support :)
