I love, love, love this group and also love that they will NOT be put in a particular box. This upsets some fans but for some one like me who has such an eclectic taste in music, it's absolutely amazing. I'm always waiting on the next video, and the next and the next. The put such an insane amount of talent on stage every time and their songwriting is getting better and better.
This is what we were waiting for from Floor "Saaail aaand Seeeeeek!" Emppu, delicious. Jukka, slamming bass. Kai, arrrgh, incredible. Tuomas bringing it all together. Just when you think it's all over, Troy! Bringing tears to our eyes.
This song is way too long for what it has to offer. Uniinspired solos, generic riffs, boring vocal lines.. For perspective, here are some DT songs with similar duration: - Voices (09:53) - Metropolis Pt1 (09:32) - In the Presence of Enemies pt 1 (09:00) - The Alien (09:32) - Sleeping Giant (10:05) - Blind Faith (10:21) Conclusion: this song takes too much of my time to contribute very little.
I much prefer this over Alien and Sleeping Giant. Not an amazing song by any means but it has a few bright moments. Their singles are always the worst tracks on the albums imo.
Actually, I somewhat agree with you here. This song isn't _not_ enjoyable for me, but when I compare this to, let's say Metropolis Part 1 like you said, there is _so_ much that catches you off-guard and is genuinely awe-inspiring about it in comparison to Night Terror. Now, Night Terror isn't bad! But, I think it could have used some more interesting drumming and at least more than 2 melodies to variate on in the guitars here. I can say I like what Rudess is doing here more than other stuff though, because a lot of his keyboard work can be chalked up to virtuosic keyboard shredding and matching the guitar's lead line, even if on a surface level it sounds good.
i do hear a lot of different inspiration from their previous music and LTE. frankly, i was very underwhelemed when i first heard this song. however, like most DT songs, its grown heavy on me after a good 5-6 listens. i think this was a safe single for them to drop to showcase that they can still play together, but whilst also not revealing too much -- at least im hoping thats the case. nevertheless, just stoked to see portnoy playing with them again 😎
Metal vocalists are well known for their powerful voices, but so are opera singers. And because of the fact that they both have this thing in common, it is only natural that Metal and Opera get along juuuust fine :)
The first time I saw Dream Theater was during the Systematic Chaos tour with Portnoy. I’ve seen the band several times with Mangini. I can’t wait to see them again with Portnoy again! They are great live!
Every time I hear this song I think it's perfect fit for the live action One Piece series! The "calling you, calling me" phrase seems to give off an Anime feel, imho.
Hi pal. Awesome as always! From an old metalhead like me; if you want to listen to metal from another view, just google 'amentalmusicjourney'. The journey just started. Come aboard! Cheers from Greece!❤🤟🤘
It's an absolutely amazing album, the more I listen the more I love it, the more detail I notice, the more I understand what Tuomas is saying - just incredible, they never disappoint 🤘
Always love your reactions. Your enthusiasm is infectious. I think your next track off the album should be The Children Of ‘ATA. It has such a wonderful back story. Six Tongan teenagers were washed up on a remote island and had to survive for fifteen months before getting rescued by a fisherman. To add authenticity Thuomas had Tongan singers come to Abbey Road studio to sing on the track.
@@silverblack5475 Aardschok magazine, I have it here. "Interesting" doesn't even begin to describe the piece. Floor as her most diplomatic self, staking her vocal territory 👍🤘
@@Columbasta I agree with her , there's too much Troy, even though his parts don't bother me as much now as they did when I first heard them ....he's just not a very good vocalist
It’s impossible not just one, appreciate this band in their genius to create music like no other! Then 2 actually enjoy their journey of each individual song. Unfortunately you’re gonna see comments from those that hate to see bands grow in their craft! That a band has stay in their lane of how they began this adventure of music. Yes the entire album is solid from start to finish. I’d like say I enjoy this album better than Human Nature. But… now understanding Tuomas’s intentions makes this completely relatable his vision for the last 3 albums. For the haters out there, you don’t have to watch or listen anymore. Let us the real fans enjoy without your comments
@@RolfMeyer-cl7ou I agree this album is that and more! I'm scratching my around how this music has turned away many of the fan base?? The band has to grow and this album to me takes this band to whole new level. I'm intrigued though to see how NW will perform these new songs live. And I hope 🙏 soon and play many of these on tour. We all know the typical singles we fell in love with. But this album will have many new greats👍
@@PaulSmith-pt3zu What can i say, some people whinnig. Oh i miss Tarja, i miss Marko bla bla. This is Nightwish 2024, and better then ever. And Tuomas and Floor on prime. Only my opion
Listen to the covers of the old music. That's why the original fans don't like her. She shouldn't sing Chester's songs. The new songs don't have nearly as much emotion as the older ones did. That's why people didn't like them. You can keeping playing the 2 singles that they released but won't stop her from butchering the songs we all grew and loved
Hey Omar, I hope you and your beautiful boy are doing ok? Thank you for taking the time to watch the whole video, and rewatch the beat down. The whole situation made my blood boil, even more so as we now all know that Ren is really unwell again. I can’t imagine the stress of this whole situation helped either. He’s having to return to Canada at the end of October for more aggressive treatment. I hope he is able to bounce back, it all seems so unfair as he was just having a taste of better health. Life can be cruel sometimes. Love and healing vibes to Ren❤️🩹
Hey Vicky. We're doing good, i took a month off creating alot of content and focused on rest , but this weekend I'm bringing some more new stuff. I hope you're well and I'm sending you love always. I appreciate you checking in on me.
@@TheMetalMixtape glad you are doing ok. Rest is so important, sadly I know only too well! I’m really struggling with fatigue from M.E and Long Covid. It’s been tough lately I can’t lie. Keep doing what you’re doing. 😊😊
Hey Omar! I've been patiently waiting for the band to come to NE, but no dice as yet. But I do know they're planning a European tour, so I hope they get a heroe's welcome in Romania! Plus, I see they're booked on a "Monsters of Rock" cruise next year, with bands like Tesla, Queensryche & Extreme. Good for them! Rock on, Sir! 🤘😎👍
