Hello, My name is Amy and I have been an artist and crafter for as long as I can remember. I resigned my position in corporate America to stay home and take care of my Mother who had kidney failure in 2006, sadly we lost her in 2011, but I still stay home and take care of my Father (we call him Papa). I started watching YT to pass some time and decided to join in and make videos when I had to do a response video for a challenge that I entered, and found out it wasn't that scary after all :) I have dabbled in most mediums, and find myself always wanting to try something new. I appreciate all of the time you take to watch my videos and I hope that you have an Outstanding time here with all of YT's wonderful artists and crafters :) Enjoy !! THIS IS AN ADULT ART AND CRAFT CHANNEL ONLY ! FOR CHILDRENS CRAFTS PLEASE GO TO YOU TUBE CHILDREN.
Papa, we have a shared experience. My Swedish grandmother taught me the same prayer and we always prayed it before dinner. Of course, as a small child, I butchered the pronunciation of most of the words, but at 76, as of today, I can still recite those words in my "broken" Swedish. I decided to look up the prayer today to find the words... then I found Papa saying it. How wonderful! Thank you, Papa.
Growing up, I’d spend weekends here and there with my great aunt…. I’d beg her to make Swedish pancakes every morning and we’d recite this prayer before eating. As my great aunt has been gone a few years, I thank you for having Papa recite so we can remember!
I've been papercrafting for a couple of months, so I have some stuff but not much. I found your series yesterday and I'm completely fascinated with your ingenuity and creativity. I'll be watching the whole thing, I think. I mean, I never dyed fabric with markers, nor have I ever made paper beads. My life has been seriously lacking! :)
The strips of binding in your bag are called bias tape. Generally used for wrapping around an edge (think quilted tree skirt) and the bias makes it easy to go around curves. There is a different product called seam binding or hem binding. Sometimes a bit shiny, sometimes lacy. These bindings are generally not stretchy and are used on hems or to stitch on a casing for a drawcord.
Those are some fun finds-the little hoop is so cute. I’m intrigued by what you have in store for the shoulder pads, I’ll be watching for that. I’m lucky enough to have several thrift stores not far from me. The pricing can be ridiculous, but some of them are consistently good. It’s fun to see what each offers, then go back to the favorites most often. Our Salvation Army stores offer a 50% discount on one color tag, Goodwills may not offer any discount (but ask, because they are different from area to area). It never hurts to ask if thrift stores have specials or sales, some will even notify you by text of special sales and events. And if you are a senior, ask about senior discounts. Thrift shopping is a great way to find items for crafting, have fun with the hunt! Thanks for sharing, great tips-take care! ❤❤❤
Nice hearing your voice again!!! My thrift stores in the area are hit and miss. Our goodwill prices dollar tree items double. 🤦🏻♀️. We only have a couple thrift stores. We also have resellers that raid our thrift stores and charge exorbitant prices. Sometimes good stuff but mostly awful junk the last few years here.

I want to thank you for your wisdom and I do have a few thrift stores like that there is one for Catholic school children in thing. I thank you so much for sharing. God bless and please have a great day.🎉 I cannot wait to see your purses.
We don't have 'thrift' shops but we do have charity shops here and the charity is clearly advertised on the shopfront. Second-hand shops can actually be expensive as they like to think they are antique shops!!!😆 Your eyelet fabric I'd say is very like Anglaise Lace. Nice to see you on screen again.
Nice haul. I love the embroidery hoop. If you think about selling it, please let me know. I would pay 2 dollars plus shipping. I'm glad to see you again. Back in the 80s, people would make angels with the shoulder pads. Fold the corners into the center and tack then use the old timey round clothespins for the body. Take care.
Hi Amy! I moved last year and am getting back to seeing online friends videos again! Wonderful video and a really good tip on how to shop. I was going to say, I hoped you would come up with an idea for the shoulder pads! (60 baby here) Fabric is so pretty. Enjoy your new finds!

I did the first series faithfully with my grandkids. We loved every episode and they both are in school, one in middle school and still talk about you and Sonja. She mentioned my geanddaughter once so she told everyone she was famous. I love your videos. I took a break because of losing my parents and then my husband sick. I am back and loving them. Love to you.
Thank you for your sweet comment :) When I saw your name I thought it has been awhile :) I am sorry to hear about your parents and husband, life really does catch up with us sometimes. I lost Papa and my best friend in the last couple years, and I still miss them soo much. I am glad to see you back, I am not here as often because I had to go back to work but I try to come on when I can :) tfw, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
What an amazing idea to make a gap in between the butterfly. Cannot wait to try that. I suppose you could make the cereal box butterfly and then the last two in scrapbook patterned paper, to look pretty on the outside. 🤔🦋
