There is an oil plug on the bottom of the engine. Underneath the deck. This video is totally ridiculous. To drain the lawn mower and to flip the motor upside down to get it out of the dipstick hole is like flipping a car upside down to change the oil.
Yes you have to say the number that appears on the socket, if it's a 9mm or 10mm, again you said to use a right tool but you didn't say the number that appears on a socket,
The factory manual says to put the gear shift in drive with the engine off when draining the fluid from the transaxle. The transaxle fill hole is on top of transaxle and used the same bolt type as the drain. You may have to remove the air cleaner box to find the filler. Transmission oil will go down the dip stick tube but it goes down very very slowly. There is no transaxle fluid filter in the 6 speed transaxle.
all these auto parts stores are idiots they will lie too you say Mercon V will not hurt the transmission it will hurt the transmission even the owners Manuel say's it will
I all most destroyed my transmission cause I put mercon V in it found that the previous owner before me used Mercon in it and I was wondering why I had a hard shift and the drivers side wheel locking up I refereed back too the owners Manuel it uses a Premium brand or a fully synthetic brand it even say's any kind of Mercon will destroy the transmission or damage it Oh I have a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr.
Is this the same for a 2008 MKZ AWD? Does it have a trans filter? Can a in line filter be used safely? What is the stamped steel pan, mounted vertically just above the two cooling lines?
