My wife and I took our first cruise back in 2010 and we got hooked. Now we are a family of 4 and enjoy creating life long memories with vacationing with our kids! Cruising, camping, theme parks and well anything with the outdoors.
Hi. Thank you for the information. I have watched a few videos regarding this hotel. We will be staying there in June 2024 for my June 9th birthday cruise. So far, I am not impressed.
You are very welcome. Happy to help. Hope you have some luck in finding a better quality stay somewhere else. We stayed at the Hampton inn and suite downtown Brickell a couple years back and it was very nice. The Uber to the cruise terminal didn’t cost that much more either.
If I was looking to do some pre cruise partying or wanted something just for the pure convenience maybe. The place needs an update, has a musty smell throughout, took us 20 or so minutes to get down from our floor on check out day because elevators were slow and one was broken. I hear other people waiting about 40 minutes. Pool was broken when we were there as well. My plan it to try somewhere else next time. We had a really nice stay at Hampton inn downtown Brickell two years ago. Or save a little money and stay near the airport. My wife doesn’t care to stay at this hotel again.
We love the ropes course and always do both sides. Michele won't walk the plank which is one of my favorite parts of the ropes. Thanks for the post. For those reading this, remember it's no extra charge on Carnival.
I have to admit, I didn’t even notice the plank until our 3 trip around. I was too focused on keeping an eye on my daughter. The plank was awesome, great views.
How interesting! Didn’t know they had this. I think with the two rope bridge people might be better off just holding their feet up and pulling themselves along lol. Great vid!
A drone when cruising on Carnival is a pain in the a$$ to deal with, they take it from you and you have to check it out at each port if you are allowed to fly it at that port. Embarkation day you get your drone back at the front door of the cruise terminal. I almost felt like a criminal trying to smuggle an illegal substance on the ship or something. So far it hasn’t been worth the investment.
Interesting to learn that Playa Mia caved in and is giving Royal a cut by allowing them to sell it as an excursion. Makes business sense to me because the footage shows that it caters to families-who wouldn't want to deal with the taxis.
@willcooper6980 yes it was nice to not have to deal with the taxi and the some what risk of dealing with a shady taxi driver which had happened recently
We actually got a couple bloodys. One was at bow and stern pub and the other was the Schooner bar. The price I’m not sure as we had the drink package. If I had to guess I would say the would be in the $12-$14 range.
Thank you! It was a great experience. There are some differences that we noticed between the two cruise lines and it was hard to say which one we prefer. But in the end we felt we liked carnival a little bit more.
My diet and exercise goes in waves, sometimes I do go for a few months and then I start to slack. I told myself I had to hit the gym for the first time on a cruise this trip.
It was a great time, however I’m not sold on sticking with just one cruise line between Royal and carnival. I enjoy them both. I will say I kept notes of the differences between then two and plan to share my thoughts one of these days.
Thanks for watching! We had a great open view, I was shocked when I won the royal up bid to get the room. Was only an extra $35 each for the upgrade from an interior.
I’m sorry, but when people are that late…and don’t show urgency, like “the ship will wait for us”…I swear, I might not leave them, but I’d tell the crew to start bringing in the ramps…and if that didn’t get them sped up…then they didn’t want to be back on the ship bad enough…they don’t call them “pier take all the time you want’ers”
I feel the same way. They called their names quite a few times and then they finally showed up once they were blowing the horn. But no sense of urgency at all.
Nice merch New Friend! My wife hands out channel coins on our cruise trips from her YT channel, Ashley Slots. The drone footage will definitely be great to see!
Hey thanks new friend & subscriber! Channel coins sounds pretty cool! What does that cost? Always looking for new ideas other than stickers and buttons.
She went through Boss Coins. It’s a few hundred dollars the first time you make a coin design because of the mold fee and depending on the amount of coins you want. The least amount of coins is 50 then goes up in increments of 50 I believe. Your pin would look great as a coin!
We have only been to the Orlando one so far. Kids loved the shows the most, but I think it was because they were still a little too young/short for the big rides.
Thanks for watching, we found this was a great inexpensive way to get around and fairly easy to understand how it works. I hope it works well for you too.
