Yeah but Traxxas just came out with a new 4tec drift which changes everything. Though experts may say it is a beginner’s drift car, it’s still cool to be a 4tec
@@kingp321 oh I know, I pre ordered mine 3 days ago in the Metallic Black lmao, it’s gonna look good being hauled into the drift shop behind my TRX-4 Bronco
@@caseycatob5069 I’m getting the white version. Only thing that may suck is I don’t think they have light buckets. They need to go into that community and really listen. Another thought is they need to make obtaining licenses to make aftermarket parts super cheap to free else I think this launch will be a fail for the people in the know for drifting
@@kingp321 yeah but let’s be real, for the price it’s already a lot of car, Traxxas had every right to make this a $600 machine by throwing a BL2-S in it and some more detail, but they didn’t, it’s tied with the cheapest RTR RWD Drift car on the market which also doesn’t have light buckets so, I could take em or leave em for the price point
@@caseycatob5069 yes it was definitely a surprise to see the price tag at $329. But if they want into the scene this is the first step. Next is to truly listening to the die hard hobbyist as their feedback and input towards the creation of it will bring credibility to their drift car. Apparently feedback was ignored. Either way, it’s a 4tec and just like my 3.0 on road, I stuck drift wheels on it to try on a drift track, definite fail but had to try.. will try making the drift a 2wd on road for racing or bashing lol
@@mhrcracing older vid here.. I have yokomo and mst drift cars. Did not have one at the time of this video. There is a 4wd touring car that can work on this track.. Serpent s411
The view of the black top helps.. I think there should be like a bright neon sign on the dark end with some promo’s stuff.. perhaps a digital screen with background built to make it look like a live billboard lol. They could prop rent some add space 😂
It was between this or the Kyosho Mk2 Stang. Both have their own purpose - We ended up with the Kyosho for my son but I might consider this one since I just want to bash and Traxxas does bashing pretty good!!
This track is located inside a mall in NJ. During the week tracks are not used as much so when they have people who want to use it, they won’t be as upset. But when it is full, they implement the rules. When this video was taken, location was still fairly new so they had no problems with those 4wd 4-tecs
Even with skill (which this guy doesn't have) a 4tec is nothing but a lot basher. The best lot basher money can buy out of the box. But that's all it's good for.
My stepson driving and was first time drifting and on a polished track and just stuck drift tires to play around. As for all 4tec is good for, we do parking lot races, check out my other vidz, some 4tecs in there
Brushless, but I had removed all the good electronics a while back after the dog bones started breaking, recently tried a mod/trick using e revo drive cups and tra cvd’s and so far it is holding together though the other brushless system in there totally sucks. It is my stepsons decoration piece. So far my RTR of choice has switched to Kyosho MK2 Fazer with a KanicRC shaft. The weak spot for the Kyosho is the chassis (where the bumper is connected to the chassis, any fast impact there will crack it.
