Pocket carry is the most important because you're not going to take your clothing off as you would a bag or pack etc. when you stop for a break or make a camp. When you move around, your items are always at hand. Thanks for the video
@AlexWander I was talking about using the magnetic cap to mount the light to light up your work. If it is on your head then whatever you are working on will be lit up by virtue of the fact that you are looking at it.
@user-wd4ge2zh2c sorry I didn’t get what you meant earlier, it’s just a trick I wanted to share in case you need to work on something specific and leave the headlamp on your head doesn’t give you the best illumination or after hours of wearing your headlamp you just want to have the light with our wearing it🤷♂️
Excellent advice and one of the best EDC videos I’ve seen, understand what and using your gear in multiple scenarios is very important; thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and taking the time to help us learn more.
Great stuff again! Enjoyed the adapting Leatherman and magnet light. In addition to seasonal appropriate clothing, I typically carry a fixed blade, tinder, small hook and braided line, compass, matches, more tinder, firearm and backpack.
My Edc yes everyday, I have a suunto clipper compass, a fox 40 micro whistle, a exotac nanostriker and a olight i3 eos light on a lanyard around my neck. On my keys in my left cargo pocket I keep a exotac firesleeve and bic on my keys. I lanyard my Victorinox 78 to a belt loop and slide it in my front right pocket. My wallet has two Band-Aids, a small signal mirror and a Fresnel lens. after my edc , When I go into the woods for a small time, I put a emergency blanket a rain poncho, a bandanna and paracord in my cargo pocket. As far as container, I use a sawyer mini with a water bottle. I forgot my knife is lanyard to my belt loop with a outdoor element firebiner.
Thanks so much! One of my main two businesses is related to photography and videography, trying to use those skills for delivering a more useful and enjoyable contents 🙏🏻
How much power does that fire trick use off the battery or does it ruin it? We used to do that with D cell batteries and it was accepted that the battery was mostly bad after that
Powerful batteries like 21700 and 18650 stand more that AA and AAA batteries, use it as a last resort , it’s a process that can affect the health of your batteries 🙏🏻
I wish Amazon had an option to generate global affiliate links that work with all countries - I had to manually search for the bank line in my local Canadian storefront which removes your commission
Rhino rescue is Chinese junk and they had to change their name previously because their stuff is junk. Get an approved CoTCCC CAT gen 7 tourniquet. You can get one at “refuge medical”. I’m not affiliated with them, but they sell genuine medical supplies. Also, ❤ Jesus is God ❤
I've heard that, honestly I've tested a couple of their latest Generation of tourniquets and they hold up pretty well without breaking so I can't really agree, hope you understand. TCCC is a US committee and like is happening in other fields (Huawei, DJI ect) Chinese brand are not well seen these days even if USA as well as my country let them make the most part of the products (or at least part of the components) to them 🤷🏻 Again I've tried to break their tourniquet but it didn't happen so for me is good enough to be carried in my emergency kit. thanks for sharing your thoughts , i really mean it 🙏
I appreciate your kind response brother in these harsh days ❤️ Just make sure it’s 1.5 inches wide or it could cause nerve damage when applying. Check for a pulse then apply then check for a pulse. If you feel a pulse it is either not tight enough or the product isn’t working. Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional and this is not advice. It will hurt like hell but is safe if 1.5 in wide. You’ll get “tourniquet bite” slight bruising but the more I’ve trained the more comfortable I get. In 2013 in New Hampshire first responders use two non ToCCC tourniquet and it failed twice. The extra bucks may be worth it. I’ve bought a lot of Rhino Rescue products regrettably. If you compare them side by side to a CAT 7 or a SOF-T it’s night and day. The glue on the Velcro strap comes off, the windless bends more, the inner band bunches up more and is less rigged. I just love ya man. ❤️ God bless.
@@AlexWander bella zona non ci sono passato mai a piedi sempre in moto, stando a nord est, ci devo fare un pensiero. bei video ti seguo, iscritto canale molto curato.
Ciao, video stupendo e molto ben fatto.
Generally when bad things happen you will most likely be left to fend for yourself with what you have in your pockets. Only suggestion I would make over some of the other items is carrying a drum liner (trash bag). I rather have that than even a rain jacket if caught in a short term survival situation - keeps you drier and more versatile. Do an internet search of “Survival using a trash bag Master Woodsman”
Well done. My only feed back is you should put context around what you are calling ‘priorities.’ Priority to learn? To carry? To do? Priorities in a situation change constantly, you kinda of mentioned this in the beginning in that so much depends on you and your circumstances…. Example, your clothing is compromised, it’s cold and you’re wet, the priority is fire or exercise if you can’t get a fire. If you are in the hot desert in the middle of the day in full sun, priority is shade and hydration, etc. Don’t get sucked into “rules of survival” as things change! In terms of priorities of WHAT TO LEARN in a temperate climate, it’s suggested the first is “how to dress properly for the environment” as that is the best way to mitigate an outdoor emergency. Then fire, knife skills (for wet weather fire and shelter), Wilderness First Aid, Navigation, Shelter/Bed construction, Hydration, Signaling, etc. Yes, as you mentioned, hydration is hugely important, but it becomes a priority when it becomes a priority. Without the context, you made lead your viewer astray to focus on something they shouldn’t in that moment. More context please. Also, for survival kits, because they are so personal to a person’s skill level, the environment, fitness, etc… carry what you need to get 8 hours sleep and hydrate at a minimum, if you can do that you generally got it made. Be safe! Stray Mouser
Thank you , I think priorities don't change , what's change is which one come first compare to another according on the situation. I'm going to cover everything you mention strep by step, it would take a 12 hours video to cover all of it in one video 😁 Hope you understand and thanks so much for your sharing your thoughts!
@@AlexWander let me say that i’m just thankful to yt algorithm for showing your channel. Only thing that I’m afraid that someday you will stop making vids/ start to advertise bad products. Because now your vids are PERFRCT i hope it’ll never change. As a fellow european i’m very happy that you create Great and valueble videos. Can’t wait for next one
@oskarmiklaszewski6421 thanks so much for your meaningful words, I will always show products that I really used and tested and that I’ve decided to add to my set ups. Most of all I want to keep sharing knowledge and experiences where the gear is involved 🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@AlexWander and bless you for that. You are literally only youtuber that i comment because I just want to feed the algorytm to show more people a hidden gem that is your Channel
