Please, please turn your phone on its side to record your videos in landscape view. This upright view is appropriate for short videos such as those shown on Tik Tok. Landscape will eliminate the jerky camera movement as there will be no need to move the camera to follow the speakers. I cannot attend these tours in person as I live 500 miles away but I grew up in Wheeling and love its architecture. Would you want to view my photos of National Parks, Ireland, and Scotland in this format or in the panorama of Landscape?

My Dad's Mother's Aunt was Mrs. Mary (McEntee) Muldoon (1827-1897 ) wife of Thomas Muldoon (1827-1888). The Muldoon's ran a grocery and tombstone business at 1920 Main Street in Wheeling in the late 1800s.

Wow, this is an excellent video and some wonderful buildings. What are you going to do with the antique water heaters and toilets in the upstairs apartments? Good luck with your plans - hope to visit the final results one of these times when I'm in Wheeling. Gene

Marie Woods Driehorst was my grandmother. Her son William “Bill’ Woods was my father. I was born in Wheeling and lived in this house until I was 2 years old when we moved to Florida. My brother Rolf attended Linsley and my twin sister DeeDee attended the Mount. I stayed in Florida but later attend Bethany College. Every summer we flew to Wheeling and stayed with Nana as we all called her. She always took us to Elby’s, Elm Grove drive-in, Oglebay Park, and the Shrine circus. We played pool in that billiard room for hours and hours. It wasn’t mentioned but there was a large Elk head and moose head mounted on the wall in that room. My brother has the pool table in his house now. Nana was a wonderful grandmother and I’m sure many of your viewers also remember her. She had many friends in Wheeling. This house holds the best memories of my childhood. I hated to see it leave the family after Nana died. I got to tour the house a couple years ago and saw all of the improvements Mike made. I hope the next owners love this house as much as we did. You can contact me at 903-327-4991 if you want to share your memories of this house.

Whoever did the renovation on the interior, did a very nice job! Personally, I would add handrails from the basement to the attic.

This was super cool to see. My grandmother, Dorothy May Browning, owned this home for about 20 years. I came back and visited a few times in the '90s and stayed on the 3rd floor. My grandmother is still alive and kicking at age 94 and lives in California.

In years past, the best materials were put on the first floor as that was the only floor seen by most guests. This can be seen in how the staircase transitions from the first to second floors as Betsy notes. Typically, different species of wood were used on the first floor versus higher floors for the same reason. Walnut, oak, cherry, etc. might be used on the first floor while pine and less expensive hardwoods on the higher floors. Plaster reliefs would be less ornate on the higher floors too. This implementation style carried forward into most per-WWII construction, which also required a higher degree of craftmanship. All this being said, Betsy has a gem there and am glad it is in good hands. Best to her in her renovation effort.

Is there a garage under the building, or cars park out under the sky?

There is not a garage but the Fort Henry bridge ramp has parking underneath.
