Urban Frank Meyer is a legend and he was way beyond Jim Tressel's coaching abilities. Love Urban. All those national sports media assholes didn't give Ohio State a chance versus Bama. Eat shit ESECPN. I love Cardale Jones. F..k you Bama 12 Gauge and The Ohio State University struck back with a vengeance.
The team that "didn't belong" won it all!! Being a Buckeye fan, i had to admit, i didn't care what happened to the Buckeyes in the national championship game. Beating Alabama WAS the championship for me!!! What a crazy, but magical, season!!
i remember as a kid seeing the buckeyes win the national championship and thats when i became a true buckeyes fan, but now that i’m older i never realized how much everything was against us that season lmao
I'm 66 years old and I cry often over my grown kids and grown grandchildren. They're all doing great in their lives but I miss them sooooo much. I said all of that because every time I wacth this I CRY. THAT SEASON IS WHAT I'VE ALWAYS TAUGHT MY FAMILY. WHEN LIFE KNOCKS THE SH#T OUT OF YOU GET YOUR AZZ UP BRUSH YOURSELF OFF AND GO KICK AZZ. THAT'S WHAT THIS TEAM DID.
Probably the most underrated unit ever.... team was a frickin freight train..... Urban Myer probably the greatest college football coach for winning... Idk what the hell he did but damn he after the Wisconsin game no question buckeye a 4 sead was going to win .
i wish they showed a few of the other teams and ohio states rankings as hey kept winning. it wouldve been cool to see the competitiuon as ohio state approaches the playoffs
Had they not had that ridiculous post season ban for 2013, they would have won it all too 🏆 Also, if Day loses to Michigan for the 3rd year in a row, BRING BACK URBAN MEYER IN 2024
That whole season was unreal. From utter despair after VT loss, Penn State clutch ass game, beating scUM but losing JT, demolishing Wiscy in B10 champ game, w/ 12 guage as QB, to beating Bama in Sugar Bowl (when initially looked like we'd get our asses kicked) and turning out to be one of the most important wins in Buckeye history , to winning the Natty vs Oregon. Let's face it, the Bama victory was more fulfilling and after that no way in hell Oregon was going to beat us (even after all of our turnovers). This team was beyond special and here's hoping 2023 is just as joyous.
Rewatching this makes me tear up every time. It was Ohio against the world when nobody believed in us and we went on the greatest three game stretch in history with our 3rd string qb. It put respect back on the team and changed the course of history forever. Undisputed
Between his take on this CFP and his take on Johnny Manziel, Skip Bayless must use razor wire to floss all of the bullshit that ends up between his teeth. One stupid take after another, and he still has a national job.
The VT loss gives plausibility to the criticisms, but even with Braxton out the media really missed how good that team was. Amazing o line, best rb in college football, stud receivers like Michael Thomas possible HOFer and Devin Smith, and stout defense. As JT got better they came into serious form. With Braxton this is a GOAT conversation lineup
All you had to do was look at the uniforms. Oregon had these white uniforms picked out, as the 2 seed, to take on Alabama as the 1 seed. Why were they wearing them against 4-seed Ohio State? Because Nike thought they would win, more than ever, and they could sell the crap they planned to sell. I hope they enjoyed that OSU shit burger.
I watch this Video again and again, it got to be like a rags to riches story! They over came every hardship fate threw at them stuck together and was determined to win it all
My supervisor was a VT fan. I would tell him that whole time we was something special that year. I would wear all my Buckeye gear everyday. They hated me that year and I loved it. After Alabama I knew it was over. But to say we won it first feels great🎉🎉
As a fan I get goosebumps and choked up everytime I watch this. We were never given a chance out the gate. Well Ryan Day it's ur turn to shift the trophy back to Buckeye nation. (O. H. I. O)
I sure do miss those days. Tough team on both sides of the ball. They had a killer instinct. Next to Woody, Meyer was the next best coach the buckeyes ever had.
