Do you use a steering wheel,? Or a counter lever or Joy stick? I grew building boats I have 15 foot new blue fin bond wood made West system epoxy resin built, this was my dad and mum last boat we built together, dad built 3 different sizes 16 foot in Papua new Guinea in 1970 and 1985, 1986 in Bloomfield River Queensland just north of Cairns built a 18 foot, all plaining hulls, 18foot proformed the best with only 20hp Yamaha, with Hartley plan was very easy to get up on the plane, with 6hp. What my late father who passed 12 months ago, said to me, the longer the hull the more easy it was to get up on plane.
@@tahitiprod1 flybridge on a 22ft? I wonder if that would actually be stable enough... certainly I can see your point on a bit larger boat. Perhaps you are right though!
How much would you charge for a similar build? I have land in Mahaena and will be over to live and build a home in 2022. So awesome and the perfect size for me 😊
Looks like he did epoxy the hull. If you think it will break apart at speed just because its wood then you don't know much. The reason you see more fiberglass hulls instead of wood is the fact that wood is more maintenance and will rot.
