Your Dad is one special man....many could hope for that in an oldman....I had one...past since but he broke me in on the MOuntains of British Columbia and area (Big White-Baker-Whistler-Mt.Washington)....to me that was the BEST and most sustainable gift a person can give....skiing is beyond life and living...it's scrumptious! Yes! Those are humpbacks. There are some southern Humpback pods that travel all the way to French Polynesia to breed and then back down to Antarctica to feed in the southern summer.
Why do these idiots who live on Antarctica want to destroy the last "clean and unspoiled" continent? Look at these large rusty containers standing almost in seawater. Any idea what that will do to the water, to the animals? Get the hell out of there, take everything with you (and I mean everything), clean up the country side and never come back.
