Thanks for the confirmation on that. Making another trip out in the middle of October so hopefully we get some leaves dropping. Also have a forestry mulcher booked for 5 hours to clear some areas so we get a better idea of what we actually have. Thanks for watching!

Two of my friends have since gotten it without anesthesia and they both were happy they did so and will do it in the future again, everyone had a positive experience so don’t be afraid. Biggest problem is going to be finding a doctor that will do it without it.
@sincitycountryhomestead that's awesome, where I live most doctors recommend sedation but don't push it. I am definitely going the sedation free route. It just makes sense. Why add unnecessary risk to a simple procedure.

Thank you! Retired 🤣 I wish! Unfortunately we are not independently wealthy and still have to figure out how we will survive financially. Once we sell our house in Las Vegas we will be able to pay off the land and build a small house but then it’s going to be work for both of us. Hopefully our RU-vid channel gains traction and can help fund this new venture but until then jobs will be the first priority when we make the full time move. I may get my real estate license there. I see so many of these from Class A busses to Class C and Super C Mobile Homes "Travel Trailers" and Class B Van Campers (not big enough for long term boon docking "no power or water services yet"). With the cost of trucks these days there is sure something to consider for costs but then you would and will use truck on your homestead. If you get something drive-able you can possibly tow 1 vehicle behind it, but not more if you have more than 1 car between the both of you. Like you Nader I have excellent credit but I am scared to use it for making purchases that then add to my overall DTI and then I cannot qualify for a mortgage or new construction loan to purchase a barndominium and do a build out to even be partly livable. You know pulling the power, drilling for water, etc.. The reason I would want an RV would be for getting some mobile mode of livable travel mainly so we could travel around and see where we might actually want to end up living. We currently have 2 large dogs, 3 older cats, one is 20+ years old, and a bunny who is like one of our cats as he's free to roam about the house and uses a litter box. WE DON'T cage our babies and leaving them alone isn't an option. By taking them with us we could actually travel and go places but then were faced with paying the rent and bills we pay where we are, and we would most likely struggle to make the traveling affordable, in addition to the costs associated with RV life. Then you have the sadder part which is paying a much higher interest rate, insurance, maintenance, and if you drive or run it to get power or anything as such, COST OF GAS! So size matters when it comes to the cost of a fill up, and dependent of how much weight your carrying, how many miles per gallon you get. Also very large RV like a Class A Bus, not all places that rent lots will allow those. But for parking on your property, not a worry then. Loving this channel and all of your videos. Thanks
I agree with everything you say! Trying to figure out the truck thing right now 🤷🏼♂️ don’t know if we should get a 1500 or 2500. I mean the 2500 would be the better option for towing but you really take a hit with MPG! If we buy a trailer or 5th wheel to live in while we build it may be temporary and can have it delivered to the property so do we really need bigger towing capacity? I just don’t know what we need because everything is so up in the air. I think i may want to eventually buy a skid steer and if I do I will need the 2500 but if I don’t there is no need for all that powder and gas which will cost an arm and a leg! So many things to figure out! I understand the whole credit thing when it comes to depreciating assets but don’t be afraid to go into debt with something like land or a home. Try and find a property with a small fixer upper that you can move onto and then start from there. Look in Kentucky I have seen some really good deals there!

Put your seatbelt on and your vehicle in high. You only need Low when you need it to get you through mud, up a steep incline, etc. Watch out Nader when Alena gets used to your new farm vehicle she will be a happy driver. Oh yeah, with the windshield up you will get bugs in your face.😮
Ha ha thanks for the advice! The strange thing is when we bought the UTV the dealer told us to always drive in low when we were under 20 mph but it’s such a rough ride I don’t think that was such good advice. I think I will take your advice and use high instead! Thanks

Yeah, they’re pretty cool I suggest you put yourself on the list now and you might get one in the next five years lol hopefully they can get their manufacturing sped up and solve this backlog problem.
I not only love you two and all your both doing, but for the very same reasons I was just telling my husband of 32 years that I want to live tiny. I thought and still think RV living and being able to travel but then there is much with that which were getting older and I don't believe we would be truly happy traveling and only living on the road. So 1st things 1st, Tiny house living though I dream of a barndominium. No kids but we have furry ones. Another reason were not ready for on road living. But once we have a permanent stationary home somewhere we can then focus on getting a small class B customized livable van and hit the road and travel. Like you said time goes by so fast, we work, sleep, eat, repeate and no life is being lived for our efforts. We can hardly save for a future with the way things are and I've been feeling that were wasting our lives and time. Were not living, were just existing and most are making other people rick and capable of living their dreams and taking vacations and such while were all suffering not capable of any of that. I subscribed! Also like ever video I watch, it helps me see I watched it already. Also its respectful. I also watch from beginning to end and I don't speed things up because you lose watch-time. Anyway I can not wait to see what you achieve moving forward. I too am looking towards Eastern TN living. Don't wish to take on nearly the amount of acreage you all have. Brave brave souls you two are. You only need to clear what you wish to use, leave the rest wooded. Trees have value depending, perhaps you are able to sell some and make money to help with your future endeavors, use some for building things, etc.. Get a few goats and some electrical fencing and move them around to clear out anything at their level. Sending up blessings all you wish for will be yours!

I’m looking into that now and quite shocked at the price for a septic system. First quote $10,000. Heading to the property middle of October to meet with electrical engineer to see what running the electrical underground will run. Luckily there is a city water option that will run $2,500 for getting a meter to the road.

That is definitely one of the options I’m seriously considering given the price quotes we have gotten for the work we need to do. Just a bummer that skid steers have pretty much doubled in price over the years.

Congrats! Welcome to TN. Wishing y'all great success and happiness. Honestly though, I am dumbfounded as to how you will service all that debt? In only 12 months? Do you plan on staying in Vegas for the next year to earn enough income to pay it off? My wife and I are three years into our homestead dream. Progress is slow, no home yet. But we truly love our simple rural life.
The only way we are going to pull this debt service off is to sell our house. Just have to time it for when my daughter graduates high school. Trust me it’s been extremely stressful but I know it’s now or never and we just had to take the risk! I hope you can make your homestead dream a reality also 🤞🏻
@@sincitycountryhomestead Thanks. We have cleared our building site. Put in water and electric service. Slab is poured and driveway is in. We spent these past six months harvesting trees. Bought a sawmill and will likely spend the next year getting our structural lumber milled. Slow going. We can only go as fast as our budget allows. Which isn't much. LOL But we love it! I'm sure y'all will too!

Absolutely but they also need to get their Manufacturing sped up! 1 to 2 houses a day is not adequate at all for the square footage of Manufacturing space they have.
