This is Mr. Patton's RU-vid Channel to promote the Lindbergh Band, instruct Lindbergh Band musicians, and share other music videos that RU-vid has to offer.
Thanks. I am getting more replies now, so if your daughter has a request I can try to make new videos too. Also, thanks for supporting your kiddo in music!
We like to use the circle of 4ths to teach key signatures and scales. Many band pieces are in the keys of F, Bb, Eb, or Ab. Starting on C (or concert Bb) helps us get through the band scales from the start.
@@alecpatton5697 forths are to common in teaching kids music long tones through 4ths and i belive they should use fifths because they sound nicer to ones ear nothing wrong with a fifth but a nice way in my opinion to learn scales is to start on cthen increase the amount of sharps till you get to the flats or hit C# or F# Eb and Bb are to boring to learn in they should start with G and G# instead
@@PrinceSwaggy Well, I am glad we have both circles. I am sure the concept of the Circle of 5ths would come up in our classroom when our concert music provides the corresponding context.
Stop by tomorrow during class and let me know because Lemon Lynn is not a helpful name! :) I may have some more personal tips for you. Keep working hard!!! The next check-off is easy.
