I just drove this like 2 days ago on accident. Fucking GPS took me through trying to get to Idaho. Scariest shit I ever done. Was hauling a trailer with a bikes cause I was coming out of sturgis. It's a beautiful road. But unforgiving. Be ready for this shit if you go. The roads are not this fuckin smooth and there's wild animals all over. I about shit my pants 5x re securing my bike
Just for your information, while your videos on driving out of the Grassy Lake Reservoir (i.e. SR 261) have few views and likes, they have been enormously helpful for my group in terms of finding dispersed camping just outside of Yellowstone NP. Thanks a million! While it may be a niche sort of video, as long as you're out treking, I'd encourage you to keep it up with the great videos. Super helpful.
Finding dispersed camping can be challenging. We are usually searching late after a long day of exploring. Near Jardine there was some, but we found tons over between Cooke City and Beartooth. Keep on Trekking!
Somewhere we do have a video as we aproach. We usually edit out parking lots. We do have several videos of the grove itself. Here is driving out at dusk: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dWufDchR8qo.html
Just a GoPro 8 mounted on the roof box. Sometimes we are lucky and the camera stays clean. It is frustrating to drive a beautiful section of road to get back to camp and find a goober on the lense. ;)
