Was inderdaad een prachtige supercell. Ik stond zelf een hele tijd bij stuwcomplex Driel en heb daar een timelapse gemaakt. De meso kwam daar bijna recht op ons af. Op de timelapse is heel mooi te zien hoe op gegeven moment de downburst een hele lading Pannus/Scud produceert, die vervolgens omhoog de updraft in wordt gezogen.
@@hardhillschasers9466 Ja, was zeker een prachtig shot. Stond daar samen met wat lokale bevolking die speciaal naar die plek waren gekomen omdat ze wisten dat je daar mooi uitzicht hebt, dus toen wist ik dat ik goed stond. 😄
Gaaf hoor. Ik stond bij het drielse veer aan de rijn (heveadorp).. (naast armhem) .. O ja ik zit ook pp drimble in de onweergroep.. niels46.. Als ik hetvgoed heb gezien heeft ie minsten 1 a 2 keer geprobeerd een funnel te maken kan dat kloppen? Toen was ie westelijk van Nijmegen tussen Nijmegen en driel in. Super genoten van deze avond... en ik hoefde niet ver... (oosterbeek 2 km verderop).. spreek jullie wel op drimble nog. Vet filmpje wederom.. tnx goed bezig
Ik stond zelf bij stuwcomplex Driel, maar ik heb geen funnel gezien. Wel een paar keer een flinke hoeveelheid scud. Er was in ieder geval wel genoeg dynamiek.

Dankjewel! Er zit redelijk wat werk in de auto, er zijn namelijk geen handleidingen voor het bouwen van een koepel en weerstation, laat staan het waterdicht op een auto te maken
We honestly have no clue how fast it moved and we didn't measure anything. It was mainly getting out of there as quickly as possible as we weren't about to deal with this in an mcs, at night, with intermittent radar updates. Learned a lot since the and would probably take some more time to get footage and data
Yeah it wasn't our brightest moment to say the least.. Working on improvement to our datasets though! Just need to find a better way to combine work and chasing
En met dit soort taferelen hebben elkaar leren kennen in elzendamme, hier zijn de wegen weer vrij en is de ijzer goed gezakt het geeft niet veel gescheeld of er stonden dorpen blank in en rond Diksmuide hadden ze het leger voor zandzakken te vullen niet ingezet en graaf machine bedrijven gevraagd een dijk te leggen dan was het een zware ramp, ik hoop bij deze dat het gaat stoppen met regenen genoeg is genoeg het is eigenlijk zo wel hier als bij jullie teveel. We understand your concerns, but in our country (The Netherlands) driving a heavy 4x4 or other large car really isn't affordable anymore. Gas prices are more than 2 euro per liter, taxes for heavy cars are at least 5x more expensive and insurances at least 3x. We don't want to chase in a 850kg car so my choice went to a intermediate car. Unfortunately there is no other option until some money is made with storm chasing.
Yeah it really be like that sometimes.. It's the main reason people drive inline 4 engines, rather than V8s. Though we don't drive into tornadoes and generally don't take gravel roads, so 100hp and front wheel drive will do for us. In the United States, it's better to go with All wheel drive for cars and 4x4 for trucks, as well as more power and better tires/ride height due to the road conditions and longer distances driven
Brrr... wat een griezelige pinnen boven jullie hoofd en buis tussen jullie in. Ik hoop dat dat verandert is, want een aanrijding zou wel eens bijzonder 'vervelend' uit kunnen pakken op die manier.
