I know the Jaron Lanier laotian flute when I hear it. He's done several talks where he argues this specific type of flute is the oldest precursor to the computer so it's kind of poetic in this context
@modallias I don't think youtube will let me post a link but if you look up "Jaron Lanier plays 7000 year old instruments" he traces the lineage of these flutes being traded along the spice routes and a version of the same idea being used by the Roman's all the way up to it eventually leading to the personal computer
