Been listening to this song for the past 3 weeks and i think ive finally gotten over my ex i hurt 4 years ago. I left things so abruptly and messy. I was selfish then. I needed the closure to forgive myself of how i treated her. Im a father of a 8 month old daughter now with probably the love of my life. But i just vouldnt get over how i left things with that girl and Bon Iver just made me deal with it and close the chapter onve and for all.
I know I will look back at this comment section 30 years later in this video.. And get excited to read my own comment here! God knows what, who or how I will be. But whatever life has to give me, I will be alive through the moments, and inhale every moment I am alive. After all, all that matters is that "I am alive"!

Really nice presentation, thanks for doing this. However, there's one minor thing in the lyrics. It should be "Everything that happens is from now on" instead of "Everything that happens from now on." That may seem small, but it's actually important to the meaning, especially with regards to the Qumran reference.
This song still reminds me of House's "Wilson's Heart." and Wilson crying is STILL too much for me...even after Paper Towns. its still Wilson who gets to me...

I had searched for this song for so long. When it came out in paper towns and Q was crying I loved the scene and him crying over Margo broke my heart Ive been in his situation several times, maybe thats why I loved the movie and this song in particular. When you are depressed for such a long time things as such this bring so much satisfaction with a rainfall of different unexplainable feelings. Sorry for all of this I just wanted to express myself a little, and why I love the song and the movie if you haven't you should watch it "paper towns."
