Thank you! indeed, it is not English, but Swedish. The lyrics, based on my personal interpretation, talk about the protagonist's heart-break and loneliness after his loved one's death. I wanted to have the spirit/ghost/mental idea of the deceased love repeat the beautiful verse - "I have kept it, the Amaranth symbol...", so it's that, with a minor alteration - "*You* have kept it...". That's what it is 🙂
A worthy interpretation of one of the great Metal epics. Wonderful playing throughout, some tasteful additions, and the inclusion of female vocals was inspired (8:55). Respect!
