Thank you! It will be fab having an example for modelling not common arches, like segmental ones, and trapezoidal loads acting. Then, it would be good a comparison with closed-formula cases. Best!
You showed mass participation 92.1 kN in Z direction and 91.1 kN in Y direction (There are masses, not percentage). Mass participation in percentage in 83 and 80 respectively.
please tell me how can I input correctly density value 2.5e-5? When I input density value 2.5e-5, but error occur like this (density is invalid, it should be greater than 0).
Good day sir. There is any information when and after Analysis: Displacement Error Norm... The case is same with me. How to fix it? I already fix it by iteration, Subspace Dimension and Covergence Tolerance in Eigenvalue in Analysis Control but the result is same. Do you have any solution to fix it?
Hello sir, I am PG student and my dissertation on design PSC box girder bridge on high speed train loading. For dynamic analysis I required the spreadsheet you shown in webinar on duration 41:50 minutes can you share with me. It was very helpful for me to complete my dissertation.
Too general explanation. How do you check the members? I would like to see the opening of the sheet. Also how do you make the time history analysis in Midas.. I see, you use the formula, but I would like to see the detailed explanation of how you form the load case in Midas. How do you make the wind loading? Did I miss anything? How do you assign the bearings in design? How do you decide which type of bearing you will use? Thanks for your efforts but I would like to see more..
For a single span bridge of span 40 feet and width of 15 feet, what size I beams should I be using for the girders? Please keep in mind that 50 tonne trucks will be occasionally driving on bridge. It will be a single lane bridge.
It seems to me that the wrong damping value is being used. This appears to use 0.04. But that is the logarithmic decay and not the damping ratio.... Needs to be divided by (2*Pi). A lot of the Midas webinars appear to differ on this....
