I wonder, if I stead of a solid pin, a hollow pin with a high-density plastic shell would bounce and clatter better? The pin clatter with these sound dull and less satisfying(at least in this video).
I literally would fall asleep to Fred Borden's "Going for the Gold" DVD as a kid. It's interesting how applicable the fundamentals being taught are to todays game. One thing he didn't mention that I bet he would have elaborated on in a longer segment would have been the starting hand position and it's relation to timing/ball speed.
Aww i wish I had some of them they look so cool I love the stripes they’re so decent, they have twister pins At Olympia Leisure in Scarborough and they sound so much different to AMF or Brunswick pins as they are synthetic not wood, i think AMF and Brunswick pins are wood because they sound different.😊
I have a question about the stamped numbers on the Twister pins. What does those stamped numbers mean I have one with 17 stamped on it three with 18 stamped on it what does that mean I'm up to seven twisters
Awesome I personally like twister pins I visit a center in Vandalia Illinois they have twister pins and my enthusiasm for these synthetic pins grows and now I own Three twister pins for my Pin collection I've been collecting wood pins for years now I said it's time for something different in my collection two twister pins came from Vandalia Bowl in Vandalia Illinois USA and one was a trade I like twister pins that much as far as scoring I shoot between 163 and 231 with those
One of the nicest guys ya could ever meet, took time and wrote down on paper the proper way to throw a hook and how to pick up the 10 pin which is pretty hard for a right hander who throws a decent hook signed it and everything plus i still think he owns stonehedge bowling alley a great place to bowl i mite add, plus hes a legend in the game knows his stuff no doubt !!
The possible downside of this method is that the ball is not intended to travel over the same target arrow for each different kind of spare attempt. Yes, the objective is to throw a straight ball right at the pin, but, it's not always going to be rolled over the same target board that is 15 feet away for each kind of spare. Seems like you're left to your own judgement of deciding which target board is to be used to maintain a straight path from your hand to the pin. One might prefer a system in which the focus is to cut the lane in half and always throw the ball over the 20 board 15 feet away regardless of which pin you're aiming at. If so, the 3-6-9/4-8-12 spare method might not be best for you.
I agree with you I collect pins and I'm a proud owner of Three twister pins I've been collecting wood pins for years now I wanted to add something different to the mix
