First, context: I spend 80% of my time mall crawling..70% of that time, I'm in the rain. The other overall 20%, I'm in the snow. As someone who has had 2 sets of KO2s on a Gen 1 Sequoia and on a 4runner...having switched to Cooper At/ 4S due to bad wet handling, loud and uncomfortable ride, I can say from personal experience that The coopers are a better tire for my use. Quieter and more comfortable at freeway speeds, WAY better wet handling...not even close. and Dry handling as well. No doubt the coopers aren't a better off road tire, but I don't do that really.
My Coopers were very disappointing. Very stiff and very bad on ice. Im going to the A/T3W next. I've read good things, plus my local tire shop guy said he has them on his truck.
What rare model of 4Runners were the three that had leaf springs? 😂😅 On my 22 Off-road Premium I have the Bilstein 6112 fronts, SPC upper arms, Bilstein 5160 rears. Rides and handles better than stock at 2.6" and 1.8" rear lift on 255/80r17 Nitro Ridge Grapplers.
