My deceased husband had quite a few flannel shirts. I have deconstructed them and want to make a quilt for his sister. You've given me some ideas of what to do. I'll probably have the same problem with the lines in the plaids not being straight. Thank you so much for giving me permission not to worry about it.

This popped up after yesterday's video and as it's the type that I do I watched it. Cool colors choices. I did this using dragon material for my Grandson with a large flag(?) center. Unlike his sister he loves it to death at age 17. 😀
Had I seen this video 2 years ago I would have made it for my Granddaughter instead of what she ended up with. Maybe she would have taken it when she moved 1000 miles away and left it at her Mother's. I would have included sashing as most of what I make has it. Very nice job!

Love the quilt! I'm working on your Mosaic quilt with the same Tim Holtz Abandoned Line you used. I added one extra row. Can you tell me what the purple is in this quilt becauseitadds a lot of interest? It's beautiful and really works on that quilt. This new quilt would also look good with black sashing on the blocks and rows. Thanks for posting.
The purple in the quilt is called “Glaze” from Hello Gorgeous line by Stephanie Brandenburg/Frond Design Studio-Northcott. It’s available in several colors. I agree black sashing around the blocks would add another dimension to the design. I’m excited to hear your making the Mosaic quilt! I hope you love it as much as I love mine! I can’t remember if they were from one of his lines or more. I just love his fabrics, so I collect them all the time. I had been saving these for just the right quilt pattern to really show them off . 😊
