This is nice. Is this just released just as a single or is this a teaser for fight forever ost to be on Spotify because this "complete" version of Eirini is on Spotify. And non-complete/destiny Eiríni is in the fight forever ost
Unfortunately Bungie has never got back to me about a license to put Fight Forever on Spotify so I likely won't be able to put that album on there. If it's something people want, I can rework some of the Fight Forever pieces to remove the Destiny melodies and put those on Spotify like this one. :)
This soundtrack has a lot of emotion to it. It feels mysterious, yet also a sense of familiarity. And the subtle tick-tock in the background reminds me of Macrocosm in its own way.
its interesting how you use the veil as the background image as the background and the way its used is so deeply interwoven with the many ways people experience certain aspects of their life that brings them insight of who they are and what our potential is individually and collectively. Namaste
What i absolutely love about this theme is just how much hopelessness is in this Unlike the other themes likr Rhulk or Nezerac where you can hear the heroism against the evil but here against the Witness you feel nothing but "Hm, I think we are fucked" It FEELS like we sre fighting some divine opponent. Plus The Witness is my favorite villain in Destiny so I guess that adds to it.
This feels like, for the first time, The Final Shape itself has its own theme. Makes sense that it's the Veil theme clashing with the Witness. But it sorta feels like a conversation between the Veil (Winnower) and the Witness. The sudden cuts are the Veil interrupting the Witness, and soon their themes combine into one harmony (sorta at the 4:40 mark)
Seriously, Breshi, the Witness is my favorite character in all of fiction, and this track brought me to legit tears. Thank you for giving us this actual masterpiece.
Now that ive heard the actual Witness boss theme...Im just gonna pretend this one is official. Sometimes less is more and the actual theme is just all over the place and does nothing to evolve the black fleet motif like this one did at 3:18.
Yeah that was my biggest disappointment with Final Shape, the Witnesses themes fell flat for both encounters with it. Excision was perfect but the campaign and raid themes aren't it chief.
@nullandvoid7524 Yeah I got slaughtered by fanboys on the video for the actual theme. I said that it was directionless and used too many unrelated motifs in it instead of expanding on the Black Fleet motif like Tenebrium did masterfully. As for the campaign they did great with the emotional and exploration music but the combat music fell short with the exception of the Ogre fight in Iconoclasm when you have to kill the two Hive giants for the symbols.
I feel like this encompasses the Witness so well. This one has desperation and hope all at the same time, and the last part of the song feels soo urgent as the tempo ramps up. As if it is your final stand against him as opposed to The Witness's last attempt. I feel like this song does what Unmade should have done.
This soundtrack feels like it’s turning my life around. No more depression, desire, needs. True balance of life. (Broski, I would love it if you could figure out a way to post this on Spotify. I will cherish it like a newborn son.)
Pretty much. I think Salvatori was angry and just threw something together. The Raid boss version and even the Excision one just don't make me feel like I'm fighting a living calamity. Why does Rhulks theme go harder than the being that made him 😤
@@CJWII that's the neat part buddy, salvatori doesn't compose undame lmao. Tho i grow to like unmade more now, it's feels like a continuation from oneirophobia and the start before choose your own fate
Having listened to both this and the official piece, I personally think this is more fitting. The official raid theme is genuinely outstanding, no discredit to it because it's a gorgeous piece, but I do feel like the more heavy use of synths, the Darkness motif, etc. fits the theme of "taking on THE big bad of the Black Fleet" Absolutely stunning work with this, as some others have said, if I had never heard this with the context of it being fanmade, I would've thought it was official music! Also personal timestamp 3:14
I feel the same! The way the black fleet theme turns darkly heroic would've been sick as the DPS phase man. The actual theme isn't dark enough and it's kinda all over the place.
@@CJWIII agree. While I understand that the official track is supposed to go along with the theme that we're desperately trying to interrupt the Final Shape, but even then it still feels less like "facing off against THE WITNESS" and more like "Motif: the raid, but the final stand is actually perfect"
As awesome as this track is it makes me think of a voice line they chose to use in The Pantheon: Shaxx yelling at the top of his lungs; "FIGHT FOREVER, GUARDIAN!" as a hail to the fact that you slay a certain amount of enemies in a very short succession. Combining this with the fact that if one strips away all the dancing, all the silly moments, Destiny's story is profoundly sad, our hero did not choose this war. And then we're reminded why we SHOULD fight, when the Darkness and Witness' motif cuts in and silences the vocals at 1:30. That is what the Witness wants, sudden and enforced entropy upon all things. Utter, and final, stasis. Phenomenal music. :)
