Which do you recommend? In our store only had buds 3, tried and liked the sound. But fear dropping it, too small, even hard to pick it up... How do they compare n terms of sound, bass , noise cancelling and microphone clarity
My issue with earbuds is not them falling out, but they end up hurting my ears after about 5 minutes. Are these comfortable? I realize this is subjective, but aside from them staying in place, do they feel good?
@@KID_CHAMELEON sorry for the delay on this! I actually had something typed up the other day and when I went to go post it it just erased and I was in the middle of a bunch of shit so I figured I'd come back. They are surprisingly comfortable for long periods of time, I think that's because of the Bean shape. It sits really nicely in the groove of your ear, so it definitely takes a lot of strain off of the ear canal. I wear them for about 30 minutes to an hour at a time, so obviously not extended periods, but I don't have any issues even with noise canceling on. It's gonna be a person by person, but I can say that they are pretty damn comfortable.
It basically throws a 360 degree effect on the music. Opens it up so it sounds like it's all around you instead of just left and right (stereo). Apple AirPods have had it for years, but it's becoming more of a feature these days. I'm personally not a fan, but it definitely adds to the atmosphere in a sense. Always sounds too hollow to me, but to each their own!
Thank you for the excellent practical review , just found your channel. Minor criticism , volume is rather low ( compared to most other channels ). Subscribed
Thank you for the feedback! I think it's because I did it in the headphone's microphones. I usually do it with a Bluetooth mic attached to my shirt. I will be sure to double check the volume on my next review! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
For a question, I bought these headphones and when connecting them by cable to both the PC and the mobile, they only listen on one side, this does not happen when using them via Bluetooth. Has anyone had the same problem or could give me a solution. Thank you .
@@iandylan9263 could be a damaged cable or headphone jack. Try adjusting it, make sure it's in all the way, if it isn't working still I would swap them with your warranty.
Unless you have pretty small ears, these will not sit over them. These are on ear headphones, so they are meant to seal on top of your ear. You might be able to wedge your ear into the pad, but they are not oversized.
thank you so much for your review, it is super useful. as someone who’s only had earbuds I’ve had a hard time deciding what headphones I wanna go with as my first pair, after much research I’m pretty sure I’ll end up choosing these! Hopefully I’ll get to try some of my options on at the store and make my final decision then 💪
Thank you for the very descriptive review from a fellow tired dad. It’s everything I wanted spoken to. It’s May ‘24 and I am scoping sub hundred dollar headphones to replace some lost Sony’s. Seeking best for the money, as I’d rather invest in a dedicated CD transport before thinking about super high-end headphones. Seeking great noise cancellation for the money, ear pads that may not fall apart so quickly, solid build quality. The Sony’s felt ‘Mickey Mouse’, as my dad would’ve said. Best Buy has these for $80 today after $20 off the hundred retail, and I think I might grab them up.
Hi! Thank you for the review! I don’t know if i missed you mentioning it, but how is the sound leakage on these headsets? Can others hear what you’re playing if you have the volume on loud? Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the delay! It's been a lot, whole family got Covid. No sound leakage, even with my glasses on. My wife confirmed with me on a number of songs with the volume prettyuch full blast.
@@glenjohnlandicho4010 sorry for the late response, you're probably probably gonna get the same bang for your buck out of either heads headsets. Sony has fantastic quality, headsets, but I would say these are comparable.
Hello! I just purchased my TUNE 770NC unit yesterday. I am not very techy at all!!! I have bluetooth air buds but when the battery gets low, my backup is a wired set I got from a flight/airline that is not very good! I wanted earphones that are wireless/bluetooth and also that I could connect with an AUX cord when the battery gets low if needed. These are noise cancelling which I wanted because I thought that it was an improvement/upgrade from my air buds. So, I connected my new unit bluetooth to my laptop because I use them to watch youtube videos when my fiance is also watching youtube on his ipad and he listens to it so loudly!!! With my air buds I can also hear his video playing and it drives me nuts!!!! I am using my new unit as I watch your video and wanted to learn to use them and test them! I pressed a button that said "noise cancelling" but I don't understand why I can hear the television with noise cancelling on as I watch your video????? I thought the unit would cancel out other sound when I have "noise cancelling" on? Why can I hear the TV with my headphones on "noise cancelling" mode? Please explain!!!! HELP!? Thank you, Renae
Hello! First and foremost, definitely download the JBL One app to double check that your noise canceling is properly setup on that button. It should be factory default, but you can always try resetting it to see if that helps. Also, make sure your firmware is up to date in the app, as they do update it regularly. I would say you'll also want to make sure that you have a proper seal on/over your ears, as if there is not a complete seal (off center, glasses in the way of the pad, etc) it will not completely cancel the noise. Ultimately, all NC headphones have some leakage compared to earbuds, and that is primarily because they do not seal the ear canal like earbuds do. Over and On ear headphones do a solid job, but they will not completely block all sound. I usually turn mine up if this is an issue, but obviously don't blow out your eardrums.
They are definitely a solid pair for the price! I'm especially impressed with the microphone quality on them, but the sound is also well above my expectations for the cost. Glad you are enjoying them! 😊
Thanks for the review! Other than your video i could only find reviews for the 770nc lives so i appreciate it. Just one question: if you shake your head really hard, do the headphones stay on well? And do they rattle when you do? I have tourette's syndrome and i shake my head a lot because of it so it's a very important aspect for me. It's not a very common problem to have so i understand why it's not a regular part of reviews haha
I tried this a bit ago for you. Depending on if you are going side to side (bending your neck) they don't budge, shaking your head like you're saying no they slide a bit, and if you're all over the place they will make their way off your ear after a a few good shakes. All of this depends on the intensity though, lighter or mild and they don't move much if at all, but anything rapid or with force will move any on ear headphones. If you really need something I would recommend over ear, just because you're encapsulated and they hold onto your ear for support.
Thanks for the review. Can you turn off the anc totally? I find that the sound can be a bit strange with it turned on in my Sony headphones. I m thinking of buying the JBL 720 otherwise to get probably the same sq buy without anc. But sometimes it's good to have the option, like when on a bus etc.
Yes! In the JBL app you can disable or enable what the buttons do, so if you don't want to have ANC, you can disable it and reassign the button to a different function. Most JBL headsets these days offer that, so whichever one you go with, you should be set!
@@Itiswhatitisitiswhatitiswhatit So if I turn it off in the app it will stay off even next time I start the headphones? My main usecase would be tv sound so would be a bit annoying to have to go into the app each time.
@@Itiswhatitisitiswhatitiswhatit yes seems to work good, thanks! I took a chance and bought them already. Works very good. They could have added a long press to disable anc as well. That would have made it even better. So now you can toggle anc and ambient aware but you need the app do disable it. When in quiet surroundings I definitely hear an improvement when anc is totally off. For some reason the base is weaker also when anc is active, that's a bit strange.
@@gorgiasxx it's more than likely because the ANC fills certain frequencies, so some sound is going to be effected. I'm glad you're enjoying them! I'm definitely loving them, my go to for on-ear now!
I really enjoyed this video, how does the wifi playback work though? Can i just connect the speaker in the jbl app then play music from any app? Or does wifi playback only work through the jbl app? Thanks for the video!!
WiFi playback is through your chosen home app. So it's either gonna be connected as a Google Home speaker or an Alexa speaker. I have not personally attempted to play music directly through a JBL app, so it's either been Bluetooth or through Google Home for me. I'm pretty sure the JBL app only gives you customization options for the speaker, not a playback tool, but I could be wrong.
@@Itiswhatitisitiswhatitiswhatit alright i think I'm starting to understand, i haven't had any experience with smart/wifi speakers but i really like this line from jbl, is there any chance of you making a video going more into the wifi playback and the features of the app? I don't want to inconvenience you, but a look at that side of things would be cool.
@@Itiswhatitisitiswhatitiswhatit oh that would be amazing! I would definitely appreciate and enjoy that! And no worries i understand lol, my son is 3 years old and he's been staying up all night recently, hope your family is doing well! And ill be ready for that video!
