Just found this and noticed the odd replies so I had to make it and try it out~ Mine looks super cute and it definitely works: First time I tried it, it did not jump until I realised I was using the spring wrong (because I'm used to the traditional jumpy frog) and just needed to pull it further back, not at the tip! Video does have way too many cuts and it's disorienting: People may be getting confused with the video because of it. Just to make a valley fold there were like 3 video cuts to make it, why not just fold it in a go? Then next fold and it happens again. If it's to make the video shorter, that's not a problem at all compared to constant cuts breaking the flow/thought process. Despite that, thank you for the lovely origami guide 🤍
You can change the setting to make this slower. Some people can succeed on first try, others might take 3X. This is a simple variation of the traditional crane, which often has more detailed folding of the neck and head.
