I like how there is decorum now. Back in the day they didnt stop until you was in pieces and id be screaming "throw the towl! all that extra work rebuilding has to suck!!"
Watching this made me actually emotional. Was this video actually 15 minutes?? The rush of excitement certainly made it seem so. Amazing moments for amazing robots
Jay O'Donnell Thanks for the reply Jay. what turned you away? was it the scarcity of VEXU teams? I'm kinda concerned about that myself, this being my first year in VEX U and all.
Jay O'Donnell Yeah. I can totally see that. Sorry to hear man. Fortunately, I know a lot of highschoolers who are hyped about it, so it's not too bad. Plus, I kinda have some unfinished business at worlds. (Division finalists was kinda disappointing.) :/. I might quit if I get world champs tho. Idk.
i know what you mean but it lead to some serious engineering that we havent been able to see in other games because of how rough they are, you have to admit that some very cool robots came out of that year. i do agree that the einstein finals were a little boring
Congrats to you all. I hope some of you remember how important 229 and 4124 were to Andrew, and how much your signatures and words of comfort on the cards you sent, meant to our family... Pati Primerano <3
Why have a different gear ratio on the top and the bottom? Do you want the ball to curve upwards or something? How did you come up with that? (curious to figure out what gear ratios we should use)
Having the bottom wheels go faster gives the ball back spin. Back spin will make the ball want to go into the goal if it hits the back edge, rather than bounce past it.
Hi Jay, This is a really effective lift system for this year. I wanted to know where are you measuring the height of the lift system is it from the top or the bottom of the end of the bar.
It does not reach the top of the skyrise, it only goes to 50". Also I'm assuming you should be able to count the amount of bars the lift has so I'm not sure what you are asking.
