Man I wish I had RX clarity like that. The IC7300 DSP and/ or the BHi noise filter doesn’t come any where near the RX clarity of your Sun SDR. Was great catching up with you Glen. Cheers.

Love that desk man! Wish you were closer I have about 4 desk chairs that I got and don’t like well due to the back issues. Yeah the band sucked man. I tried working the naqp and the hash and Qsb was horrid. Got AL twice though. 😀 just recovering from delta variant. Almost killed me man. So far so good . I need to play with it more but the band stayed open longer for me worked a guy in Austria with good results going to raise it up higher next weekend and compare results..

Bandwidth looks great too. I have a 75 ohm matching section on mine to dial it in flat. U could run a piece of RG11 which would give you less loss than what I use although I never really cared as it smokes as a 3 element. Not sure which is better....run the tuner on the rig to snap it flat or to fuss with matching it. Maybe someone else could answer that. That's pretty darn good as it's a more complex antenna to begin with. Just a side note, the swr will prob' go flat once you get it up in the air. When tuning a beam like that at ground level you can tilt it toward the sky with the reflector almost on the ground and that will give you a more accurate indication of swr curves. Just some thoughts but you know me...hahahaha. 73, Steve K1GMM
I found with these quads 75ohm coax is the way to go for me anyway it could do with being a bit longer on the boom , but the field strength meter looks good I should of videoed that too .I will try RG11 before it goes up .thanks steve .
