@@a2angler273 if you ever want to shore fish like the old days, under huron river dr where the river runs into the metropark is good for smallies and muskie
I think the left-hand steer is because most anglers are right-handed. I think its just easier to steer while holding the rod in the casting hand. There's no switching hands.
Yeah. I completely understand that. Just interesting that hobie has the dual steering and opens themselves to a larger market with such a small detail. Like I said, for me being a right hand retriever, I’ll just learn to switch hands quickly. Shouldn’t be too difficult.
@a2angler273 It may be something they consider after angler feedback. Let hope they make the change in the coming years. I really enjoyed your review. It was something I have been waiting for. It definitely helped make my buying my first fishing kayak easier
Very good review. Thanks. Interesting, the difference in the way we fish. I’m profoundly left handed, but reel with my right hand. I need to steer with my right and rod stage on the left. I’m not interested in retraining. Native makes no provision for switching the steering to starboard so they leave me out. Seems like a serious engineering design fault on Native’s part to ignore 12% of the population. I’ll have to stick with Hobie and Wilderness.
@@a2angler273 no you're right. the smallies here in Utah usually have hazel or brown eyes and I've only seen rock bass here with the red but they can be red I guess
Great video and really nice to see such a detailed perspective on the fishing side of things not just going through the kayak features. Caution your friend on using the front handle to pull the kayak, there have been reported issues with the handle ripping out when used for pulling horizontally, the two bolts are not enough for the size of the boat.
Ha. I mean… I talked to a buddy of mine in a 360 PA 14… fully geared out at like 15K … it’s insane nowadays. This at least gets ya competitive with the platform then you trick it out starting at a much lower price!
Thank you sir for showing this detailed review of this kayak. I’ve watched many walkthrough reviews of kayaks, but you took it to another level by actually showing it to us in the water! Tight lines and take care God bless!
I thought that about Hobie then I saw influencers with $3000 just in Lithium batteries (two trolling motor batts) in their NuCanoe (U10?) or other cheaper brand fishing kayaks. A geared up kayak and they are worried about finding the least expensive, but still capable, hull?
Thanks for sharing your day on the lake it looked like a fun day great weather. I’m understanding the immediate reaction of the moment you lose a big fish and know it the sound carries all over the lake lol! Tight lines and take care!
Thanks for sharing your day it was a beautiful day on the lake loved the intro great way to get the blood pumping!!! Tight lines and take care God bless!
I just got a BlackPak with ShortStak and plug after seeing your video. How did you manage to detach the Livescope transducer cable from the transducer to run it through the plug?
