Thank you! The interface for this functionality was as far as I can tell completely changed a few years ago but the old way is still documented in the official Microsoft documentation. Very frustrating.
Great question! If you don't have SharePoint, you can typically obtain it through your organization or as an individual. SharePoint Online is included in many Microsoft 365 subscription plans. If you're part of a business that uses Microsoft 365, SharePoint might already be included in your subscription. You can check with your IT department or administrator to see if SharePoint is available for your use. You'll want to see if you have the appropriate licensing. For individuals or a small business owners, you can subscribe to Microsoft 365, which often includes SharePoint as part of the package. We recommend visiting the official Microsoft website to explore subscription options and pricing.
Hi. What about when SYNC is not an option? We have very poor internet quality and speed and subsequently bandwidth limitations. with large and numerous files Syncing monopolizes my system and internet until it crashes, therefore making it a non-option. I was originally accessing Sharepoint through IE and was able to work directly from the Sharepoint site through file explorer. While it could be slow, it still was workable. With the shutting down of IE it now appears I have to use Sharepoint through the intranet only, which is cumbersome at best. Am I missing another option?
Hi John, Thank you for your question! You are not missing another option in this situation. In your scenario, SharePoint online is your best choice for interacting with documents in your SharePoint site. One thing to keep in mind is that you will need to click the Documents button on the left side of your SharePoint site in order to access all functionality. Browsing documents through a widget on the homepage of the site is useful, but limits you from accessing some advanced options. You can also check out another one of our videos to see how to use those advanced features to streamline your SharePoint experience in the link below: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QxxPKjkIQfw.html
The idea of using some moronic baseball as example is....well moronic. Nobody watches this shit outside of America.....It just is an annoyance that I have to switch off my brain for 10 seconds every time you talk about some moronic lost yards and all that shit....You could have used basketball, which is much more universal.....Or some traffic accidents...or whatever........
Thank you for your question! Although SharePoint shares some similarities with databases, we don't recommend storing access databases in SharePoint. This is because SharePoint can't provide the same functionality as a database or support the complex data relationships.
Hi Mohammed! Daniel's 4+ years of experience in Power BI were a major foundation in his ability to pass the Exam. However, for a novice user, it would be recommended to go through several test cases, understand the pros and cons of different approaches for accomplishing and creating different types of user stories. As Daniel mentions in the video, the exam features a few questions that provide answers that can all be viewed as "correct" with the actual answer being the one that is "most correct." The ability to differentiate comes from experience as well as the limitations of Power BI. Finally, for a novice user, a crash course can't ensure a passing grade; however, studying for 2-3 months while encountering real-world issues will offer much more security to a potential exam-taker.
Wow, this is exactly what i was looking for. I tried googeling for a sharepoint desktop app, because the online environment is so impractical to use, but this is a way more elegant solution. Thank you for this. Very relaxing voice btw.
Hi Ana, great question! SharePoint sites can be accessed locally on your computer by taking advantage of the local sync feature. Setup is easy and can be completed via the "Sync" button in the top command ribbon. Setup will require your Office 365 login and OneDrive installed on a Windows10 PC.
@@Ironedgegroup i have used tried the sync option but it tells me I don’t have enough space. There is 500GB of storage in share point. However, some of my colleagues have managed to add it to their desktop without using their computer space/memory.
@@anak.dominguez2106 While SharePoint does not occupy physical space on your PC, it does require enough space to sync the designated site. I.e., your SharePoint site cannot be larger than the free space on your PC. As local sync can be completed at every level within the SharePoint folder structure, we recommend the local sync of only required subfolders for any SharePoint site. Hope this helps!
Thanks for such an informative video. I really appreciate the various scenarios on what is and what isn't practical and how you validated the effectiveness of the model with te results from the Kaggle competition!
