Clear guide to mining thanks for your effort. I spent hours flying around Aberdeen not knowing how to search for it properly I normally fly about 1k of the ground hopefully this will improve my yeild I bought a roc and have a cuttie with 2 storage containers so just need hydration and food and will be able to stay out mining for a long time
It's content like this that brought me back to Star Citizen and inspired me to create my own gameplays. Something that shows the player's story and their struggle to survive. I think this game has a lot of potential for such gameplay, but it still needs some content to enjoy it longer. I'm glad you decided to do this series, I'll be following. I also hope that when different statistics for components appear again, you'll return to the phenomenal loadout guides that I loved watching when creating our own loadouts was still a thing in SC.
I was having an easy yime mining hadanite but all of a sudden I cant find any. Ive probably spent over an hour scanning for hadanite but I only get big rocks and other materials
More than 50% of my days go like that in SC - a long string of unexpected behaviours. Sometimes frustrating, sometimes funny. Reporting the "bugs" with a click would be a nice feature, but it isn't too bad to report significant ones if you grab a screenshot with the QR code in the image.
If you are a solo player that wants to solo a large ship, why are you playing star citizen.... playing solo as a lone bounty hunter or something, thats fine.. but dont winge because you cant single player a multiplayer game. Squadron 42 is there for that.
Exactly. People are delusional. There is nothing wrong with playing solo, but don't expect you will be able to do everything solo that a group of players can do. That's idiotic thinking
the problem is when most of those ships already require half the server to run them because of all the turrets, the crew requirements are just ridiculous and worst of all multicrew ships act as a force nullifier instead of a force multiplier like they should be, they're just not worth using, as long as it is that way multicrew ships are bound to be doomed which is why I do hope that's a "side thing" and you don't actually *need* to have someone spend their entire gaming session looking at a screen and messing with a few things inside the ship so others can fly it
First of all, no ship, even the biggest ones, require half the server just for the turrets. Already you sound like an idiot. But, also, ppl can soon get out of the turrets and do other useful things around the ship instead of just sitting around taking screenshots. If you want to play solo, there are ships for that. Sounds like big ships are just too much for you. Leave them to the orgs and people with friends
Ya, I don't like master modes, I don't like the cargo changes, I don't like the inventory changes and I'm not going to engineer. Fuse pulling isn't a gameplay loop i'm willing to participate in.
@@Eric-un2oq already have. I do all the time. I play a patch til I get bored or sometimes not at all if there is nothing new that interests me, then I play other games and come back later. I don't cry and whine about the game constantly as if it were the only game that existed because I need attention from others. Either play the game or don't, nobody cares what you do. Complain to the devs if you want the game to conform to your wants so badly
While I agree with the idea of large ships requiring crew, I'm not sure there's many people who will want to spend their gameplay session standing at a engineering terminal while their friend plays the game.
I do hope it's not like that and you're not forced to have a player who spends their entire session looking at a screen and occasionally messing with a few buttons so other can play because yeah in this case large ships are dead and I don't see a way they could effectively be used, I mean they're already force nullifiers but with this nobody would play them
This is one of the reasons why I tell people the Anvil Liberator is one of the best ships not in the game, it's a big ship on paper but requires a max of two people to operate, can carry people, cargo, ground vehicles, ships; and serve as a base of operation for smaller orgs but with a minimum crew.
I share the exact same sentiment on the larger ships. I will also likely be playing solo or with 2-3 others at most so buying the big ships is a no-go with the exception of the Carrack for if my multiplayer situation changes. Beyond that, 1-3 player crew size ships is the sweet spot.
I think it has the potential to be tedious upon release, but its up to the testers to communicate that. It has great potential to be fun if adjusted right.
I really like the changes this system will most probably bring and I hope we will get more small to medium sized allrounders instead of huge vessels only some orgs will be able to effectively use. Also why do people even complain about the critical powerplants? It's still better than just exploding right away if you can do something about it.
My favorite house for its own features is Hundings Palatial. The beach is the place to be, especially at my place, where I have a marina and tiki bar out there (@ Superabbit if you want to visit it in home tours). For sheer stripped down utility, Sugar Bowl Inn in Rimmen is hard to beat. When you port to its outside you don't have to go through a door to get to a wayshrine, and it's centrally located to the crafting area, stables, writ dropoff, bank, and thieves guild for laundering. It can even (barely) hold a full set of stations if you would rather do your writs in private. Also: free. I also have a room at the Flaming Nix in Mournhold for quick transport to master writ dropoff and undaunted dailies.
Sir, Could you tell me if armor and weapons purchased with real money from the Pledge Store are your’s forever, or if you die or get your stuff looted are those items gone never to return? I would love to buy some of the armor available in the pledge store, but am afraid to due to the fact that a simple landing malfunction or something similar happens and then all of a sudden there goes 16 bucks down to drain, or even more for other items. Thank you for your time.
They are yours forever. The problem is the system to regain them back in a current patch is not yet in so if you are out using them and die and cannot retrieve them, then you lose them until the next server reset which happens with each new update so you would be without them a month or three tops. But there is plans to add the ability to get them back any time just not in yet.
@@CasaBLACK thank you sir. I really do appreciate that you took time out of your busy schedule to answer my question. You are very kind to do so. Have a wonderful day!
I am a player like many in this game who have a limited amount of playable time. I most play solo as my colleagues also have limited time which doesn't always overlap with my schedule. So if I can not fly large ships solo then I shouldn't buy large ships. I don't know how many orgs will buy these ships but to some degree they are narrowing their market to groups exclusively and on some scale that is a loss of potential revenue. I will of course respect CIG's game integrity and confirm my consumerism to the limits imposed.
This is a multiplayer game aiming to be the biggest MMO ever made. They have never eluded to these large ships being meant to fly solo. If you want to still try and fly solo, feel free. But, time to start getting used to the idea of playing with others if you want the full experience they are offering. They are plenty of good Orgs to join to get this experience without having to convince your personal friends to play
Apart from repairing during and after combat I wonder just how big a role the engineer will have in game? Will there really be a place for a full-time position as engineer. To justify it is the general integrity of the ship going to be nerfed that you need someone sitting there to hold it all together? I’ll be interested to see how this pans out. Also I can’t see CIG doing anything that’s going to affect potential ship sales, especially the larger expensive ones.
I think for normal play its just a maintenance thing, but with every encounter with other players or NPC's it will be more useful. Lets say you play solo a lot and are bad about maintaining. Then that 30th trip you take thats normally safe you get jumped by an NPC.. Those faulty systems might bite you in the ass. For those who combat a lot, they will have to do more upkeep and see more out of the system.
@@CasaBLACK I like the idea of taking care of your gear and I’m all for that kind of gameplay. Makes more sense than engineering being a full time role 😊👍
As a solo player the zues is probably going to be my limit, even that might be a push until the NPC or AI blades become a thing. People who complain about the engineering changes are most likely new-ish people to SC. This was always going to be the plan from way, way back when we used have 10 for the chairman. Same goes for the physical inventory and no magic bags to carry everything. Thanks for vid.
That is a reason I've decided that it is very unlikely I'll pledge for a ship larger than the Zeus without really questioning the purchase as while getting a crew isn't too hard it can be time consuming. But that is why I'm keeping ships like the Cutter Rambler, Vulture, and the Nomad in my fleet. But I'll also enjoy my Zeus and Vulcan (When they are released)
Very good point and yeah I think people who play but do not study up on what the game has been promising are those who have been caught off guard by this.
@@Observer_Custos Yeah I mean 2-3 players is what most will be and also why I think CIG sells many more of those ships. My most popular videos are for ships in the medium range.
@@CasaBLACK it's also why the Taurus is a popular cargo ship despite being large it really only needs a crew of 3 with no Snub fighter compared to other Connies. Just a pilot a gunner and a tractor beam operator. And since you don't typically fight and tractor beam at the same time the person for the unused turret works as an engineer once that gameplay is in the game.
And it looks like component changes are already showing up in Evocati.. I'm excited for rep based parts that we can have access to buy or earn as rewards in game..
There's still issues with the database and the stack all button is not in the inventory system yet. They explicitly addressed this in the past. The things you want fixed are coming. Its just a matter of dev resources making it happen. It actually may already be done for a future build. Certain features require certain tech in place before they can be released. No sense in treading the same ground twice releasing it early then having to fix it at scale then having to fix it again after another planned tech is being introduced that affects it and how itr works. Best to just wait until it all in place then release so you can fix both issues. Saves a lot of money in dev pay that way. Stay positive my friend.
I follow the roadmap closely so you're preaching to the choir and yet there are things they could add that would not require more db work later, but yeah they do not prioritize things and add some things into the game incomplete that could actually help now which is the point I was making.
Not sure why you'd keep a "trashcan" box. Just toss your trash onto the landing pad and they will be despawned for you the next time you store or call a ship (I think of it as the crew that loads and unloads your ships down there also like to clean-up the landing pad). Also the tip about transferring things into boxes at the warehouse terminal, is also true at the inventory terminals. Items that can store other items have a little grey box in the lower-left-hand corner that you can click that will open that thing in a new window below the inventory window in that column. You can then just drag-and-drop to move things into them that way as well.
I agree, I hardly ever pick up loot when I’m out because it’s such a pain to sell. Having to find the right shop to sell the items to is a shitty system and I hope they change that. Being able to sell from the freight elevator would be nice for inventory management too
that's why I'm collecting only primary weapons, helmets and some of expensive clothing to sell it in cargo center with box. These Items have the best ratio of UEC for SCU, and everything can be sold in cargo center in harbor. But after wipe, when we want to get rid of spare stuff indeed is a pain in the butt. Edit: your checkbox idea is brilliant.
Thank you. I would sell every damn thing I found if it were that easy. Hell they could even tag some things as "junk" and then sell all junk like many games do.
