The official Gardening Gays RU-vid Channel. We are husbands Dragan and Kevin, living on a 27-acre farm in Virginia's Northern Neck. After years of planting vegetables and flowers at our townhome in a Prince Geroge's County, Maryland suburb just outside of Washington, D.C., we purchased our King George, Virginia farm in Summer 2021 to expand, explore and experience gardening and farming on a larger scale. Watch along as we share our passions and lessons in cultivating the earth and raising animals. Follow us on Instagram at instagram.com/gardeninggays and connect with us on Facebook at facebook.com/gardeningays.
Another interesting week at the farm........ Your watermelons look delicious............. the store seems to be developing week after week................ always enjoy your weekly updates.................'Snow 'has grown so much ......LOVE those dogs!!!!!!
Thank you! We try to encourage him as much as we can and hopefully instill some good work ethic. Or at the very least, set an example that he'll one day appreciate.
Another productive week at the farm. The addition of air conditioning is a major plus especially with the extreme heat this summer. Your store is coming along nicely. I enjoy watching your weekly progress.
About the termite problem, sprinkle borax around the base of your buildings. I had a problem with the little nasty bugs a company would come out every 3 months and use a white powder, which was borax.
The store is coming along nicely. Your produce looks amazing. It's just so much work especially in all this heat. When do you find time to 'chill out'? I really LOVE those three dogs!!!!!!
How would you plant Coleus from seeds. I live in a hot country & at the moment its the monsoon season. I have just got the seeds at the moment & no Coleus plants to pinch & propagate.
Hello guys i have an idea for you, instead of "gardening gays" "gardening is gay" as the word gay used to mean pleasant/fun in the past, and in french it sometimes still used among the older generations, the word gay didn't refered to what they link it today, as i said for some people it means : pleasant, fun, amusing so "gardening is gay" would be more dimentional
Thanks for the comment, but we love what Gardening Gays stands for and means to us. It's a name we're proud of and we're so thrilled that it has resonated so positively with so many people locally and around the world.
your content quality is good but your channel"s video tags /CHANNEL TAG SECTION NEED OPTIMIZATION FOR MORE ORGANIC GROWTH. Are you concern about your youtube Growth?
Love to see all the progress, that sauce looks amazing and the peach jam, wow ... I wish I was there to grab some 😋 Kevin I love your laugh, it's contagious ☺ Great job y'all 🤗
Another great video...... I didn't know you made sauce. It looks delicious. Your farm is coming along so nicely. Each and every week something new and exciting is happening. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!
My coleus never grow that big. It's a very short summer warmth-wise in Ireland. But I have taken some cuttings before, so this video has put me in the mood to do some more. 🤍
@@GardeningGays Yes, a lot of mine perished in the greenhouse during the winter months although the pelargoniums made it through mostly, even with some heating, so I'll take your advice and keep my best coleus plants in the house this winter, space & light permitting. I'll try potting into bigger pots too. Thank you. Always very interesting videos.
Wow!! The inside of the store is really looking great!! I wasn't sure about the cherry finish on the trim, but once you put it up it looked awesome! Y'all are dong such a great job!! Lots of love to y'all and I can't wait to see what's next!!!
The store is coming along beautifully. The progress you have made these past few months is just amazing. I could see in your eyes how exhausted you were. Long hours; hard work, but all worth it. You MUST BE so proud of your achievements. LOVE those dogs!!!!!!
Thank you, Michael! We're exhausted for sure, but the reception we get from customers and our supporters online like you keeps the wind in our sails. We're rounding the home stretch!
Thanks for the feedback, Robyn. We are always doing our best to remember that Dragan doesn't speak as loudly as Kevin. Unfortunately, microphones slow us down and become this big production that we're trying to avoid (we went that route before and it was stressful). We're constantly trying to make sure we're both always as audible as possible. These kinds of reminders help. Thank you! And thanks for always watching ☺
Nice to have discovered your channel. Everything looks great. Are you doing organic at all?We have the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) ,that has been a driving force here for 50 years. Wow. keep up the great work.
Thanks so much for watching and for the comment. We're glad you found us. We actually looked ad farms in NH during our search before buying this property. Everything we produce on our farm is organic. We do, however, supplement our store with wholesale produce. But any veggies we grow and animals we raise for meat are done with organic methods here at our farm. We practice regenerative farming.
