Nice webinar! I work in oil and gas industry where I deal with air cooled heat exchangers. These exchangers are fitted with axial fans. Is there any reason why these exchangers are fitted with axial fans. Will there be any benefit if we fit such exchangers with centrifugal fans?
First, plz dont thank for quick respsonse, Since axial fans are designed to handle large volumes of air at low pressures, they are also cost-effective and have a straightforward construction. In an air-cooled heat exchanger, where the pressure requirements are minimal, it makes sense to use simple fans. Given that they can perform the same function, there is little justification for choosing more complex and expensive fan systems.
